KL Bird Park

The park is divided into several sections: Brahminy lands, parrot worlds, flamingo ponds, hornbill parks and many more, to keep different species of winged creatures apart, but they are free to fly around their respective enclosures. Brahminy land has a fantastic collection of Brahminy kites, one of the most popular birds in Malaysia. Parrot's World is a small walk-in aviary specifically designed to accommodate up to 20 species of parrots such as macaws, cockatoos, lorries and parakeets. Meanwhile, Oriental Birds Aviary has a collection of more than 50 different species of unique and spectacular oriental birds, while Flamingo Pond is home to flamingos collections. Without a doubt, the hornbill area is the best as you can see seven varieties of hornbills, most of which are indigenous to Malaysia, including a pair of Rhinosaurus hornbills - one of the largest hornbill species in the world. Tiled walkways are the perfect way to enjoy the sight of these beautiful birds and you can take a photo of yourself with eagles and Macao and feed some pelicans. Landslide gardens have storks and flamingo frolicking, finches and thrushes in the water that roam the barn of trees and owls. You can watch bird shows and even feeding sessions for eagles, hornbills and ostrich at Kuala Lumpur Bird Park. There is well catered with a playground for children and the beautifully landscaped garden has jogging tracks, exercise stations and sailing boats for visitors. Besides, binoculars are available for rent, which is a reference centre for those who want to get more information about the park's birdlife and a snack kiosk where you can buy snacks and drinks.
