Drottningholm Palace
Drottningholm Palace is Sweden's best-preserved royal palace built in the seventeenth century. This palace is the permanent residence of the royal family and one of Stockholm's three World Heritage Sites. The royal castle is a representative of all European architecture for the period. Since then many royal personages have left their mark on the palace. The palace shows outstanding salons from the seventeenth, eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, an attractive park, an only one of its kind palace theater and a Chinese Pavilion. In the southern part of the palace the rooms in are reserved for members of the royal family. An exclusive collected works of stage sets, the dressing rooms, the storerooms, the scenery, and the large auditorium, seating 400 spectators are conserved.
