The Pashupatinath Temple is a famous, sacred Hindu temple dedicated to Pashupatinath and is located on the banks of the Bagmati River 5 kilometres north-east of Kathmandu Valley in the eastern city of Kathmandu the capital of Nepal. This temple is considered one of the sacred temples of Hindu faith .The temple serves as the seat of the national deity, Lord Pashupatinath. This temple complex is on UNESCO World Heritage Sites's list Since 1979. This "extensive Hindu temple precinct" is a "sprawling collection of temples, ashrams, images and inscriptions raised over the centuries along the banks of the sacred Bagmati river". We then continue to the holiest shrine for the Buddhist culture in Nepal, Bouddhanath, with its large stupa, this is the place where all devout Buddhists come for a pilgrimage. After completion of these two spots, you will be takentake you for a visit to Patan. Also known as  Lalitpur  , the city of beauty is separated from Kathmandu only by the Bagmati River and is the second largest town in the valley. Lalitpur is fragmented from other cities due to its substantive architectural ancient masterpieces. Patan's central Durbar Square is absolutely packed with temples: Its an architectural center point with a far greater concentration of temples per sq. meter than in Kathamandu or Bhaktapur. Within  the city also lies the Tibetan refugee center, home to most of the valley's Tibetan population.  While technically refugees, the Tibetans are some of the wealthiest people in the valley because of the carpet industry they operate.  For those looking to bring home a fine Tibetan carpet, this is the place to shop. You will then go to Swayambhunath the golden spire of the 5th-century Swayambhu stupa is adorned with a colorful fluttering of prayer flags; it crowns a hill overlooking the Kathmandu Valley and offers fantastic views over the city of Kathmandu. Bindhbasini Temple 3.jpg

Bindhyabasini Temple

The Bindhyabasini Temple or Bindhya Basini Temple looks like a small white hut, however there are other temples scattered inside the boundary. Situated on a small hillock with a beautiful view of the massive Annapurna ranges. The Bindhya Basini temple is dedicated to the goddess Bhagwati, known as the guardian deity of Pokhara. Known as the blood-thirsty goddess there have been sacrifices of animals made to please the goddess, which accounts for some gruesome sights for an average non-violent person. The temple is 3000ft above sea level and as mentioned earlier sits on a hillock therefore devotees have a flight of stairs to climb from the road till the temple. The slope right beside the temple has a couple of café’s and shops where you can find souvenirs of the temple and offerings to be made inside the temple. This beautifully located temple holds quite an importance for the Hindu’s in the area, hence some code of conduct is to be followed while entering the temple. Its best recommended if a spiritual time is what you are looking for.

Davis Fall 2.jpg

Davi's Fall

Devi’s fall also known as Patale Chhango, this waterfall marks the point where the Pardi Khola stream vanishes underground. Gupteshwor Cave 2.jpg

Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave

The Gupteshwor Mahadev cave is Nepal's most famous cave. It is located close to Davi’s fall in Pokhara.  It's rumored to be the longest cave in Nepal (2950 meters). The Cave is considered 599 years old. While the young local people went deeper, they found out that an idol-like object resembling Lord Shiva had formed naturally on the spot. Later on, it was taken to be Lord Shiva and the local people formally consecrated and installed it at the mouth of the cave in 1992. The cave is musty and damp but a string of electric light bulbs emits enough light to see the stairs clearly. Most of the time one needs to bend down until one has passed through the 50 meters long tunnel. Once one has passed through the tunnel, there is a huge open cavern with enormous rocks, no trace of soil at all, only little pebbles scattered everywhere. On the right hand side there is a deep gorge. After a few yards of scrambling through the darkness, there is a crystal clear pond and from here one can see the awe-inspiring falling right from the top.
