Langkawi Sky Bridge is a magnificent curved suspended bridge, one of the greatest feats of engineering, built on top of the Machinchang Mountain. It was completed in 2004. It is accessible from the Top Station of Langkawi Cable Car. The bridge is suspended from 82m high single pylon, hangs at about 100m above ground and it can accommodate up to 250 people at the same time. The footbridge is hanging high up in the sky and gives exhilarating views of mountains and the sea below.
The sky bridge is 125 meters long and 1.8 meters wide. It is amongst the longest curved pedestrian bridges in the world. It hangs in the space over virgin mountain forest offering spectacular views. At two ends of the bridge there are two triangular platforms which are wider and serve as resting and viewing areas for the tourists.
The curved sky bridge is considered one of the engineering marvels in the world.  As the entire bridge was pre-fabricated and then lifted by helicopter up to the peak of the mountain and fitted into the pylon.
