The Following Points To Be Noted For Child Rate         

Majority of the hotels follows the child policy mentioned below: 

  • Children above 10+ years will be considered as an adult and will be charged as per EPSR rate.
  • Children of 5+ to 10 sharing room with bed / Mattress & Roll Over / Fixed day-bed / Dewan will be charged as per CWB rate.
  • Children of 5+ to 10 sharing room without bed / rollaway or mattress will be charged as per CNB rate.
  • Children below 5 years will be complimentary without bed (sharing the parent’s room).

Notes : 

  • Hotels are very strict with the child policy. Please carry the age proof so that it can be produced when asked for.
  • Some of the 4 star & 5 star hotels have the policy of charging for all child above 3 years as per CWB & CNB. Child below 03 years is treated as complimentary.

Day wise travel itinerary

  • Day 1 :Bagdogra Airport (IXB) / NJP Railway Station (NJP) – Phuentsholing

    Bagdogra Airport (126 Mts / 412 Fts, // New Jalpaiguri (140 Mts / 460 Ft)

    Phuentsholing (293 Mts / 961 Fts, 165 Kms, 04 to 05 Hrs drive approx)

    Pick up from Bagdogra Airport (IXB) / NJP Railway Station (NJP) and transfer to Phuentsholing. Meet & Greet upon arrival at Phuentsholing (298 Mts / 977 Fts). Later check in at hotel. Overnight at Hotel.

  • Day 2 :Phuentsholing - Thimphu

    Thimphu (2320 Mts / 7656 Ft, 158 Kms / 05 to 06 Hrs drive approx)

    After breakfast, Checkout and then after completing your Visa / Permit formalities assisted by our Bhutan representative who will then assist you in boarding your vehicle for transfer from Phuentsholing to Thimphu, in case if your permit are not done on day of arrival. On arrival in Thimphu, check in to the hotel. Overnight at Hotel.

  • Day 3 :Thimphu - Full Day Local sightseeing - Thimphu

    Thimphu (2320 Mts / 7611 Ft)

    After breakfast go for Thimphu sightseeing covering Sangaygang View Point (BBS Tower) which is located at an elevation of (2865 Mts / 9397Fts), which offers an exquisite view of the whole town of Thimphu, Then after visit Buddha Point (Kuensel Phodong) (Entrance fee INR 1000 (Approx) per person Adult / Child), Textiles Museum (Entrance fee INR 250 (Approx) per person Adult / Child),  Handicrafts Shops (Closed on Saturday,Sunday & National Holiday),  Zangthopelri Lhakhang (Monastery), Simply Bhutan (Entrance fee INR 400 (Approx) per person Adult / Child) (Closed on National Holiday). Overnight at Hotel.

  • Day 4 :Thimphu - Punakha / Wangdi

    Punakha / Wangdi (1273 Mts / 4177 Fts, 70 Kms / 03 to 3½ Hrs one way drive approx)

    After breakfast drive to Punakha / Wangdi, which is the last town on the highway before entering Central Bhutan. The drive is over Dochu La pass (3080Mts / 10102Fts) which is very scenic with fascinating view of mountains of Bhutan. Visit Punakha Dzong (Entrance fee of INR 1000 (Approx) per person Adult / Child), If time permit visit the Suspension Bridge and then proceed to Chimi Lhakhang (Monastery) (Entrance fee INR 1000 (Approx) per person Adult / Child). Evening you drive back to Thimphu. Overnight at Hotel.

  • Day 5 :Punakha / Wangdi - Paro

    Paro (2200 Mts / 7656 Fts, 148 Kms / 04 to 04 ½ Hrs drive approx)

    After breakfast, checkout from hotel and then transfer from Punakha / Wangdi to Paro. En route stop at Docula Pass & at Lamperi to visit Royal Botanical Garden (Entrance fee INR 100 (Approx) per person Adult / Child). On arrival at Paro, check in to the hotel. Overnight at Hotel.

  • Day 6 :Paro - Full day Local Sightseeing - Paro

    Paro (2200 Mts / 7216 Fts)  

    After breakfast go for Full day Paro sightseeing covering of Dungtse Lhakhang, Then stop at Bird eye view point from this point picturesque Paro Valley can be seen from this point and the small Paro International airport in the middle of all of that looks stunning. Ideal time to go here would be between 10-11 AM.Then visit Ta Dzong (Entrance fee INR 150 (Approx) per person Adult / Child) (National Museum-Closed on National Holiday), Rinpung Dzong (Entrance fee INR 1000 (Approx) per person Adult / Child), Kichu Lhakhang. Afternoon visit the Paro local Market. Overnight at Hotel.

  • Day 7 :Paro - Hike To Taktsang Lhakhang (Tiger’S Nest) - Paro

    Paro (2200 Mts / 7216 Fts)  

    Start the day early for a day hike to Taktsang Lhakhang (Tiger's Nest Monastery) (Entrance fee INR 2000 (Approx) per person Adult / Child). The hike which is a uphill climb for about 2 ½ to 3 Hrs (Depending on Guest Fitness label) one way through pine forests. Many guest who are unable to make it to the top can hike upto the cafeteria points which is again about 1 to 1 ½ Hrs uphill climb. Later return back to the base where the vehicle will be waiting to take you back to the hotel. 

    Or 

    Paro - Excursion to Chele - la pass - Paro

    Chele-la pass (3988 Mts / 13080 Fts, 40 Kms / 02 to 02 ½ Hrs - One way drive approx from Paro)

    After breakfast go for a day excursion to  Chele-la pass. Later drive back to Paro. Overnight at Hotel.

    Paro (2200 Mts / 7216 Fts, 6 Kms / 20 to 30 minutes drive approx)

Zangdopelri Lhakhang

Zangdo Pelri Lhakhang is a site of great religious significance in Bhutan. Also known as the ‘Paradise of Guru Rinpoche’, it sits right in the heart of the Phuentsholing town, just close to the Bhutan Gate and Immigration Office, offering peace and solace to the distressed hearts. Built in the 1900s by Dasho Aku Tongmi, the musician and composer of Bhutan’s National Anthem, the temple is a three-storied complex with splendid exteriors fringed with a beautiful garden where visitors can relax and soak in the spiritual vibes.

The interiors of the temple are equally marvellous with walls and ceilings adorned with colourful frescoes and murals. One of the tallest lhakhangs in the country, it also houses some magnificent statues of the Buddhist deities and gods. On the ground floor is the four-metres tall statue of Guru Rinpoche flanked by his eight manifestations, which makes for a magnetic spectacle. Statues of the Eight Bodhisattvas, Avalokitesvara and Buddha Amitabha on the floors above too, delight and surprise visitors
