Manu Rishi temple is located just 3Km from the main bazaar in old Manali village.This is the only temple in India dedicated to Lord Manu, who was the creator of human race on the earth. Manali has derived its name from Manu-Alaya which means abode of Manu. The architecture of the Manu Temple is a pagoda style of architecture and is usually found to be the style of most of the shrines in Himachal Pradesh. Beas Kund, which is considered a sacred lake, is located in the Kullu Valley and is the original source of the Beas River. It is believed that Sage Vyas used to take his daily bath in the ancient waters of this lake, which is situated at an altitude of 3,650 meters in the lap of Mt. Hanuman Tibba and Seven Sisters.
