Zakir Hussain Garden or Ross Garden is located in sector 16  of Chandigarh. It is the largest garden of its kind in Asia and was built in the year 1967.Garden which is  spread across over 30acres showcases around 825 varieties of flowers and over 32000  varieties of trees and shrubs. With its exquisite collection of  flowers, garden is very popular among tourists and nature enthusiasts.The best time to visit is between the months of February and March as the flowers are in full bloom during this season. The Rose Festival also takes place during these months.

The Terraced Gardens of  Chnadigardh located in sector 33 boasts being home to colorful and vibrant flowers.Established in 1979 garden is immensely popular and is being visited by the visitor from across the country. The Garden is  Lush green and immensely beautiful with scenic views. Garden has different levels of shapes and terrace designs and hence the name  Terrace Garden. Evening Lighted  Musical fountain with folk songs, film songs as the backdrop is popular among tourists. Terraced Garden is a main venue for the annual Chrysanthemum Show, which is significant for the large-scale participation of the general public and the nature lovers. The show, which is organized in the month of December, carpets the city with multi colored blooms of chrysanthemums. Diverse competitions are organized on the eve of the show in which scores of city gardeners actively take part.

Sukhna Lake is Man Made Lake at the foot of  Shivalik hills. With its pristine blue water, the lake is a perfect location for morning joggers and walkers to enjoy fresh air. Sukhna Lake is  one of the longest rowing channels in the country that host the Asian Rowing Championships. The best way to enjoy a tour of Sukhna Lake is to go on a  boating tour on it. You can hire a boat for an individual or for a couple. Lake is also a great spot for sport activities such as rowing, trampoline, jumping, Solar Cruise. Several species of fish and migratory birds such as Siberian ducks and cranes are spot around the  Sukhna Lake. Chhatbir Zoo, is a zoological park situated close to Zirakpur, India. The zoo was constructed in the 1970s and is home to a large variety of birds, mammals and reptiles.The zoo was inaugurated on 13 April 1977 by the then governor of Punjab Mahendra Mohan Choudhury and it was christened as Mahendra Chaudhury Zoological Park. Initially the zoo was populated by a small number of animals brought from Guwahati Zoo, Assam and it soon became the largest zoo in Northern punjab India The months from October to March are considered the best months to pay a visit to Chhatbir Zoo Chandigarh. Chhatbir Zoo is a location in Chandigarh that is not only attractive but also educates the little ones about animal and plant kingdom. The best thing about the Zoo is that it gives travelers and visitors an opportunity to witness the Royal Bengal Tiger up close. Elante Mall is a shopping mall in the city of Chandigarh in India. With the gross leasable area of 1,000,000 sq ft, it is the ten largest shopping mall in Northern India and the seventh largest in India. Elante is spread over an area of 20 acres. It is part of a mixed use real estate development project by Larsen & Toubro called Elante.Elante, with its retail space of over 1.1 million Sq. Ft, is the largest mall in Chandigarh. Mata Mansa Devi is a Hindu temple dedicated to goddess Mansa Devi, a form of Shakti, in the Panchkula district of Haryana state in India. The temple complex is spread of 100 acres of the Shivalik foothills in the village of Bilaspur, near Sector 13 of Chandigarh, and Panchkula, 10 km from Chandi Mandir, another noted Devi shrine in the region, both just outside Chandigarh. It is one of the prominent Shakti temples of North India involving 7 goddesses, namely Mata Mansa Devi, Naina Devi, Jawalamukhi, Chintpurni, Brajeshwari, Chamunda Devi and Jayanti Devi. Thousands of devotees visit the shrine from various parts of the country, and especially during the Navratra mela, this number rises to lakhs every day for the nine auspicious days. 

Chandigarh Capitol Complex, located in the sector-1 of Chandigarh city in India, is a government compound designed by the architect Le Corbusier and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is spread over an area of around 100 acres and is a prime manifestation of Chandigarh's architecture. It comprises three buildings: the Palace of Assembly or Legislative Assembly, Secretariat Building and the High Court plus four monuments and a lake. The Capitol Complex is Le Corbusier's most spectacular work, which makes Chandigarh unique from other places of India. He conceived the master plan of Chandigarh as analogous to human body. The concept of the city is based on four major functions of living, working, taking care of the body and spirit and circulation. The Capitol Complex serves as the seat of the government of the states of Punjab and Haryana. It is spread over an area of around 100 acres and is a prime manifestation of Chandigarh's architecture. Located in the center of the Capitol Complex is the Open Hand Monument. This metallic sculpture is the official emblem of Chandigarh and was also designed by Le Corbusier. It signifying the city's credo of 'open to give' 'open to receive'. Amongst the other monumental places to visit in Chandigarh are the Tower of Shadows, Geometric Hill, and Martyr's Memorial.
