Go Ski and Snow Scooter Riding At Rohtang Pass (Optional Cost )

Lying at an altitude of 13,054 feet, Rohtang Pass is one of the most popular attractions in Manali. The pass is around 51 km from Manali and serves as the gateway to Lahaul and Spiti valleys. It is also known for its strategic importance for the country.A drive on Rohtang Pass offers wonderful views of surrounding peaks, glaciers, Chandra River, and Lahaul Valley, along with twin peaks of GeypanRohtang Pass is open between June and October as during the remaining months, it is covered with a snow, making it inaccessible. During the peak season, the pass is jam-packed and thus to avoid delay, one must leave quite early. It is quite popular amid adventure junkies and features in the list of must-visit places of Manali.Tourists can enjoy various kinds of adventure activities at Snow Point such as sledge ride, mountain biking, snow scooter, ski ride, tyre drop and skiing. Equipment are available on rent. Enjoy making igloos with snow. But in these best and enjoyable activities is snow scooter and ski (As per season Approx cost idea Rs 500 per person for snow scooter and Skiing at Rohtang is rudimentary and you do not need a guide. Guide will cost you Rs. 1,500 and do nothing more than hold you while you pretend to ski. For all the effort of reaching Rohtang Pass, you will stay for only three to four hours.

Solang Valley

Naggar Castle Art Gallery
At a distance of 20 km from Manali Bus Stand and 22 km from the Kullu Bus Stand, The Naggar Castle is a famous castle located in Naggar. It is one of the best places to visit in Manali. The Castle overlooks the Kullu Valley. From the castle one could see the far off snow-covered peaks, the delightful Beas valley below and the lush green hill sides dotted with apple orchards. This is another popular attraction not to miss in a Manali tour package.
The Naggar Castle is a magnificent historical structure. The castle was built by Raja Sidhi Singh in 1460 AD in an impressive combination of European and Himalayan architecture. The castle has traditional architecture called Kathkooni, which uses a combination of stones and wooden beams.
The Naggar Castle was used as a Royal residence and state head quarter until the British took over the whole Kangra and Kullu from Sikh's in 1846. Raja Gyan Singh sold it to the first assistant commissioner, Major Hay for a Gun. The northern wing of the castle was later converted to the European way of living by putting in staircase, fire place and chimneys. He later sold it to the Government when it was used as a courthouse. In 1947, with the departure of the British the court-activity ceased.
In the year 1978, the castle was converted into a rest house and more recently into a heritage hotel that is run by Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC). The Naggar Castle has been recently renovated while keeping its heritage structure intact.
There are three small shrines present within the premises that hold religious significance. Here, a gallery houses the paintings of the Russian artist Nicholas Roerich.
Hidimba Devi Temple
Situated in the midst of the snow-covered hills of Manali, the Hadimba Temple is a one of a kind sanctuary committed to Hidimba Devi, who was the spouse of Bhima and mother of Ghatothkach. Flanked by perfect cedar woods, this wonderful holy place is based on a stone which is assumed to be in the picture of goddess Hidimba herself. The ambience of the Hidimba Devi sanctuary is totally not the same as that of any of different sanctuaries, with its wooden entryways, dividers, and cone-molded rooftop. The heavenly Hidimba Devi Temple holds momentous significance to Hindu travelers as it is a piece of the Hindu epic Mahabharata. Indeed, even separated from that, the Hadimba Temple is no less of marvel to nature. Stashed into the lap of nature, this temple offers a tranquil escape to nature and harmony. Being a curious story in itself, the Hidimba Temple is attracting travelers from all corners of the world.
Tibetan Monastery at Manali
Manali has innumerable colorful Monastery that characterize the rich history & culture of the Tibetan people settled in Kullu and Manali.Manali has two main monasteries that captivate a large number of tourists — the Gadhan Thekchoking Gompa and the Himalayan Nyingamapa Gompa. These monasteries are encircling by many small shops selling alluring handicrafts and carpets, which are built by the Tibetan people living around these monasteries.Tibetan Monastery also run a carpet weaving center & Thanksgiving School of Arts to conserve primitive Tibetan art. The paintings inside these buildings portray events from the life and period of Lord Buddha, that is, the wheel of life fixed on the wall of the monastery depicts the human life cycle. Buddhists believe that rolling these wheels gives you freedom. The Gadhan Thekchoking Gompa is situated near the Mall in Manali. The monastery is run by the local people who gather funds through donations. The unique feature of the monastery is the handicrafts of Tibetan artistry and the carpets that are woven and sold in the monastery. The Gadhan Thekchoking Gompa was constructed in the year 1969. The architecture of the monastery represents the Tibetan style of architecture designed with hued frescoes. The statue of the Lord Buddha presides in the monastery. The Himalayan Nyingamapa Gompa is situated near the market place in Manali. The architecture of this monastery replicates a more modern style than the earlier one. Placed in the midst of sunflowers, the monastery glows at night with light bulbs lit to lighten it up. The huge gold faced bronze statue of Lord Buddha presides over the monastery.
Vashisht Temple & Hot Water Springs
Vashisht is a little town in the Kullu zone of Himachal Pradesh, and it is renowned for the Vashisht Ashram and the Vashisht Baths( Hot springs ).This temple consists of wooden carvings which draws the attention of travelers from all corners of the world and hence proves to be an important vacation spot in Manali. It is also said that during the time of Ramayana this ashram was residence of Vashisht Rishi (The Guru of Lord Rama and Lakshman).And it is located inside the very well-known Vashisht Temple in Manali. And basically Vashisht Baths is a hot water spring, believed to be having great amount of therapeutic medicinal values. In other words it is also termed as Vashisht Springs. Manytourists who pay a visit here bathe in the holy water to rid themselves of skin diseases and infections.
