  • Day 1 :Chennai

    Reach Chennai via flight or train and check-in hotel. Visit important cultural, historical and religious sites like Kalpeshwar Temple, Crocodile Bank, Ramakrishna Temple and Queens Land. Return to hotel in the evening for overnight stay.

    Get out for a day excursion of about 60 - 70 km to Kanchipuram and Mahabalipuram and spend the day exploring the historical relics of these cities. Stay overnight at Chennai hotel for an evening stay.

    Have your breakfast and get out of the hotel and walk towards Tirupati which is around 144 km 4 hours. Later check in at the hotel and visit Tirupati Balaji Temple.

Kapaleeshwarar Temple

One of the imposing religious sites of the town is that the famed Kapaleeshwarar Temple that's majestically set within the Mylapore region of Chennai. This cultural marvel attracts huge crowd who throng in to witness its astounding spring festival.
It is said that the Shiva Lingam in the temple is suyambulingam which means it is self-manifested. It is also referred to as 
Vedapuri because the four Vedas have worshipped Lord Shiva at this auspicious place. Other name given to the religious site is Sukrapuri as Sukracharya offered his prayers to Lord Shiva at this place to regain his eyes.
Kapaleeshwarar is a combination of two words Kapalam which means head and eswarar which means Lord Shiva.

The Madras Crocodile Bank Trust and Centre for Herpetology

The Madras Crocodile Bank Trust and Centre for Herpetology is one among the most important reptile zoos within the world. It is cover eight and a half acres of land and is home to over 2500 reptiles. It gives you an opportunity to have an interactive experience with the various denizens at the zoo. Apart from guided tours they have a wide variety of other activities for all ages that are both informative and fun. To promote the conservation of reptiles and amphibians and their habitats through education, research project and captive breeding, efforts are focused on, but aren't limited to, Indian species and ecosystems and include both in-situ and ex-situ components.

Ramakrishna Temple

Ramkrishna Mutt Temple is a Universal Temple dedicated to Ramkrishna, who is a symbol of Universal Religion. The specialty of the temple being that it's the combined architectural sorts of Buddha, Jaina and South Indian temples. There is a big and beautiful prayer hall where Shri Ramakrishnas life size marble idol is present and is being decorated very neatly and beautifully. It is a pleasure to sit there for a meditation during the evening Aarti. The bhajans set in vibrations that cannot be explained by words.
