Zanskar is the river formed from the junction of two streams, Lungnak means &quot;dark gorge&quot; and Stod, which carries the melt water of the great Drang-drung glacier. Also, view the marvelous Magnetic Hill, a gravity hill located near Leh. The hill is alleged to have magnetic properties strong enough to pull cars uphill and force passing aircraft to increase their altitude in order to escape magnetic interference. Then, visit Military Hall of Fame, a glorious museum constructed by Indian army. You can see biographies of eminent defense personalities, images and weapons used during Kargil war, Siachen and its heroes and their daily instruments and lifestyle of Ladakhi people. You will also visit GurudwaraPathar Sahib, a beautiful Gurudwara constructed in the memory of Guru Nanak, about 25 miles away from Leh and Spituk Monastery, famous for its wide and varied collections of ancient masks, icons, antique arms and numerous Thangkas. Khardung La is a mountain pass in the Leh district of the Indian union territory of Ladakh. The local pronunciation is &quot;Khardong La&quot; or &quot;Khardzong La&quot; but, as with most names in Ladakh, the romanised spelling varies. The pass on the Ladakh Range is north of Leh and is the gateway to the Shyok and Nubra valleys.

<span style="font-size: 13.3333px;">Pangong Lake, situated at a height of almost 4,350m, is the world’s highest saltwater lake. Its waters, which seem to be dyed in blue, stand in stark contrast to the arid mountains surrounding it. Extending to almost 160km, one-third of the Pangong Lake lies in India and the other two-thirds in China. Pangong Lake, one of the most famous lakes in Leh Ladakh, derives its name from the Tibetan word, “Pangong Tso”, which means “high grassland lake”. You could spend hours in contemplation here, and still not have enough of its beauty. Pangong Lake is also known to change colors, appearing blue, green and red at different times.</span>

<span style="font-size: 13.3333px;">The main and unique attraction of Diskit Monastery is a gigantic statue of Lord Buddha on the top of it. This popular monastery is located in the Nubra Valley Of ladakh. This famous tourist attraction is considered as one of the oldest as well as the largest Buddhist center in Ladakh. The Diskit monastery was constructed during the 14th century by Changzem Tserab Zangpo. The huge 100 foot Maitra Buddha statue was inaugurated by the well-known holy priest Dalai Lama is the key attraction among a number of tourists across the globe. It is considered to be a Buddhist temple by many, rather being a full fledged monastery. Mural paintings and carvings are unique to any other in the vicinity. Alchi Choksor Monastery is nestled by the rivers Indus and Zanksar and is about 70 kms away from Leh, along the Leh – Srinagar highway. Many consider the monastery complex together of the oldest within the region, probably dating back to quite 1000 years, but now there are not any monks living here and studying. It is very popular and more of a visiting place by sacred Buddhist scholars as well as visitors. One of the unique feature of this monastery is that it is built on the flat ground, with backdrops of high-rise mountains of the Himalayan ranges, which is not common with other monasteries in the Leh region. From the surface , the monastery won't appear to be existent in such glorious ways, as dilapidated buildings and houses surround the complex and sometimes it'd also appear as non-existent. It has always been found to be very realistic, yet thought inspiring as to the primary reason for the building of such a monastic complex.</span></div><div><br></div><div><span style="font-family: Verdana;"><b>History :</b></span></div><div><span style="font-family: Verdana;">It has not yet been clearly confirmed on the historical dates for the construction of the monastery complex, as there are variety of buildings included within the complex. Most common belief is that the famous translator Rinchen Zangpo arrived here in 10th century and created a couple of monasteries. With his efforts, many other monasteries came up within the Himachal Pradesh, Sikkim and neighbouring areas and about 108 monasteries are credited to him. These monasteries are said to belong to the Vajrayana sect of Tibetan Buddhism. Under his influence, many artistic contributions were done by the Kashmiri artists. The Hemis Monastery was built in 1630 and which is the biggest and very richly bestowed monastery of Ladakh. Magnificent and facinating, Hemis is different from the other important monasteries of Ladakh. The monastery is very well decorated on all 4 sides by colorful prayer flags which flutter in the breeze and send prayers to Lord Buddha.</span></div><div><br></div><div><span style="font-family: Verdana;">The main building has white walls. The stones of the walls are very well embellish and painted with religious figures. On the northern side are 2 assembly halls, and as in most of the monasteries one can also see the guardian deities and the Wheel of Life here. The Hemis Monastery also has an main library of Tibetan books and a very impressive and valuable collection of Thangkas, gold statues and Stupas embedded with precious stones.</span></div><div><br></div><div><span style="font-family: Verdana;">One of the largest Thangkas is displayed every twelve years during the Hemis Festival, held for 2 days in June - July. The annual festival, commemorating the birth anniversary of Guru Padmasambhava brings alive the courtyard of the monastery. The festival, where good triumphs over evil in a colorful pageant, also holds the annual 'bazaar' where local Ladakhis from remote areas buy and sell wares. During the festival, various rituals and mask dances are performed in this courtyard. It is also very famous amongst tourists as it offers a stunning view of Leh and the nearby Changspa village. Shanti Stupa looks extraordinarily beautiful during the full moon night when it is naturally illuminated by the moonlight. It is at a distance of about 5 km drive by road from the Leh city or one can climb 500 steps to reach The Shanti Stupa. This was our first trip at abroad, we were having lots of questions with us how will be the company, will get Jain food and many more but with flamingo the answers was yes we got best company and excellent food all over the trip. We didn't only get Jain food but we got full Gujarati dish &quot;Shikhand Puri&quot;, &quot;Pani Puri&quot;, &quot;Puran Puri&quot;, and many Indian dishes, it was really very surprising for us. The hotels provide by them for stay were also so good. The tour manager Devarshi Mam itself was so supportive. We never realized that tour manager is with us she was like our family member. She was so friendly by nature and knowledgeable person to guide us. Thanks to FLAMINGO.It was our excellent dream trip. I would rate 5 stars out of 5.

<div>On the very first day <span style="font-weight: bold;">Mr. Kushal shah</span> wanted us to have a great bonding amongst each other so that we get the best experience possible. He always tried to serve the best food and at the proper time. The thing that was best in him was that he always shared some or the other things related to the place we were visiting in an interesting manner. Mr kushal shah tried to give information about the place in an easy language understoodable by every participant and never meant to behave partial with anyone. A negative or say a sad point&nbsp; was that the Orlando hotel which was felt comparatively poor quality. We were given quality shopping time and he also enlisted what activities are to be done in parks that are the best in that particular part.
