It was well-known in 1975 by the Sri Lanka Wildlife Department in a 25 acre coconut property next to the Maha Oya River. The orphanage was at first founded in order to afford care and protection to the many orphaned elephants found in the jungles of Sri Lanka. In the year 1978 the orphanage was taken over by the National Zoological plant enclosures from the Department of Wildlife. And the elephants at the orphanage aren’t subjected to any form of stress, abuse or threat at all and are supported by a team of employees numbering to over 100 including a group of mahouts. The main aim of this orphanage is to stimulate a natural habitat to these elephants.&nbsp;</span></p></div></div>

Head for the Pedro Tea Estate which lies nestled amongst the scenic beauty of Sri Lanka’s hill country, situated in the shadows of the country’s highest mountain Pidurutalagala, just 3.5 km from NuwaraEliya. Walk through the tea fields and watch closely how the colorfully clad tea pluckers carefully pick the prized “two leaves and bud” that go into making the world finest Pure Ceylon Tea. Try your hand at picking the leaves; chat with the pickers (using hand gestures for they may not understand the language you speak), let them show you how it is correctly done. Next take a guided tour of the tea factory to see and understand the intricate procedure of tea processing. The full process involves Tea Plucking, Withering, Rolling, Fermentation, Firing and Sorting/Grading before it is bulk packed to be sent to the Tea Auctions in Colombo. Watching and understanding the process will take a couple or more hours at the end of which you will have acquired a good knowledge of tea processing, its intricacies and the workings that goes into making the Pure Ceylon Tea, known as the finest in the world, that’s brewing far across the oceans. You will also have the opportunity to see and learn about the tea types, which are sorted by the size of the leaf; the large leaf teas fetching higher prices in comparison to the dust grades.

The temple is located in the village of Seetha Eliya (also known as Sita Eliya). This place is believed to be the site where Sita was held captive by King Ravana, and where she prayed daily for Rama to come and rescue her in the Hindu epic, Ramayana. On the rock face across the stream are circular depressions said to be the footprints of Lord Hanuman.

Sri Dalada Maligawa or the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic is a Buddhist temple in the city of Kandy, Sri Lanka. Since ancient times, the relic has played an important role in local politics because it is believed that whoever holds the relic holds the governance of the country. Kandy was the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings and is a World Heritage Site mainly due to the temple. On Wednesdays there is a symbolic bathing of the relic with an herbal preparation made from scented water and fragrant flowers called Nanumura Mangallaya. This holy water is believed to contain healing powers and is distributed among those present.

<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">The Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall, is a convention center located in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Built between 1970 and 1973, the convention centre was a gift from the People's Republic of China in memory of Solomon Ridgeway Dias Bandaranaike, Prime Minister.</p>

This temple is one of the most revered historic Buddhist temples of the orient. Set on the summit of a small mound lapped by the waters of the river Kelani, this beautiful shrine presents one of the most panoramic views ever offered to the tourist by this small island of ours, the pearl of the Indian Ocean. Among the many Buddhist temples of Sri Lanka, the Kelani Viharaya stands out as one of the most exquisite examples of the sculptor’s art. Its history runs back to more than 2500 years. In the days of yore, it always received full royal patronage, and to this day, it’s has been highly venerated by the people of the island. Its significance as a place of Buddhist worship is clearly evident in the island’s folklore.

Royal Botanical Garden attracts 2 million visitors annually. It is renowned for its collection of orchids. The garden includes more than 4000 species of plants, including orchids, spices, medicinal plants and palm trees.&nbsp;&nbsp;

This was our first trip at abroad, we were having lots of questions with us how will be the company, will get Jain food and many more but with flamingo the answers was yes we got best company and excellent food all over the trip. We didn't only get Jain food but we got full Gujarati dish "Shikhand Puri", "Pani Puri", "Puran Puri", and many Indian dishes, it was really very surprising for us. The hotels provide by them for stay were also so good. The tour manager Devarshi Mam itself was so supportive. We never realized that tour manager is with us she was like our family member.
