The church was built in Neo Gothic style, amidst pine and deodar trees on the hilltop. The church is also famous for its stained-glass windows. It is said that Jim Corbett worshipped here during his tenure in the British army and was a great follower of this Church. St John Wilderness Church contains a brass memorial to the victims of famous 1880 landslide.</p><p>The calmness of this church and the location of the church attracts a lot of followers who seek peace and tranquillity. The beautiful architecture of St. John in the Wilderness Church is commendable and holds its heritage of earlier times.</p><p>One can take a tour at the cemetery which is a token of honor to the lives lost to the landslide of 1880. The wild animals of Corbett National Park use the Kosi River to quench their thirst.The bed of this river is sprinkled with boulders and the flow is unpredictable. The river also changes its course frequently. Similar to Ramganga, the Kosi River is also a preferred habitat of Mahseer fish and the river also entices many migratory bird species. The Kosi River also comprises many sheer cliffs adjoining its banks. In certain pockets of the park, tourists can even encounter gorals, which look somewhat like goats, grazing on the slopes. <p>Standing on a bank of the beautiful Naini Lake is the Naina Devi Temple, a famous Indian shrine and one of the 51 Shaktipeeths of India. Located on the banks of the lake, it is also a beautiful tourist destination.</p><p>The Naina Devi temple gets its name from the legend that the eyes (Nayan) of Goddess Sati fell on this spot when Lord Vishnu cuts her body into 51 different parts. This was our first trip at abroad, we were having lots of questions with us how will be the company, will get Jain food and many more but with flamingo the answers was yes we got best company and excellent food all over the trip. We didn't only get Jain food but we got full Gujarati dish "Shikhand Puri", "Pani Puri", "Puran Puri", and many Indian dishes, it was really very surprising for us. The hotels provide by them for stay were also so good. The tour manager Devarshi Mam itself was so supportive. We never realized that tour manager is with us she was like our family member.
