- Day 1 :Dehradun to Haridwar/Rishikesh (20 kms approx. 30 minutes )
Arrive and proceed to Rishikesh, check in, and later visit Ram Jhula, Bharat Mandir.
Ram Jhula - Two kilometres away Rishikesh stands the beautiful iron suspension bridge called Ram Jhula at Muni-Ki-Reti. Ram Jhula joint by Shivanad Ashram (towards the east bank) and Swargashram (towards the west bank). Previously it was a hanging jute ropeway, however, in 1980; a permanent iron suspension bridge was made by PWD, with the help of Shivananda Ashram. Often crowded with saints, sages and devotees, the Ram Jhula is also famed for attractions like ParmarthNiketan, GeetaBhawan, Swargashram, YogNiketan, Beatles Ashram, etc. Food lovers must visit the food courts located nearby the Ram Jhula. Overnight stay at Rishikesh.

Har Ki Pauri - HarkiPauridarshan is famous across the country calling in devotees to attend the darshan. Ultimately making it the center of attraction in Haridwar. The literal meaning of the name HarkiPauri is ‘Har’ meaning ‘Lord Shiva’, ‘Ki’ meaning ‘of’ and ‘Pauri’ meaning ‘steps.’ An interesting fact as to why HarkiPauri is famous and considered an ideal place for worship is because it is the point where the Ganga River makes an exit from the mountain terrains and enters into the plains. People who come to witness the religious ceremony have many vantage points.
HarkiGauri Ghats in Haridwar offers another point where people can see the aarti without anyone blocking the view from across the main Ghat. You can cross the bridge to the opposite side of the Ghat, or you can also hire a boat and watch the ceremony comfortably. There are also many hotels near HarkiPauri that lends out their balconies for tourists to see the Aarti.

Har Ki Pauri is a prominent site and famous ghat on the banks of river Ganges in Haridwar. The center of attraction among the devotees in Haridwar, Har Ki Pauri is considered to be a place to exit of the holy Ganges River from the mountains.
The world-famous Ganga Aarti takes place in the Brahmakund region of Har Ki Pauri, a sacred place where it is believed that Amrit fell on the earth. The largest Hindu fairs, Kumbh and Ardh Kumbh, are also held at Har Ki Pauri.
Tips For Visiting Ganga Aarti
1. Be sure to reach the Ghat at least 45 mins before the morning Aarti and 75 minutes before the evening Aarti to grab a seat for yourself and visit the Aarti closely.
2. Since there is a massive rush at the time of the Aarti, be sure to take care of your belongings and valuables. Do not let children go out of your sight.
3. Rickshaws and auto-rickshaws to take you to Har Ki Pauri often quote exorbitant prices, and hence you may have to bargain.
4. Seats near the clock tower and across the Ganga Temple, on the stairs of the ghats (cross the footbridge) are preferable for a good view

Mansa Devi in the holy city of Haridwar in the Uttarakhand state of India. The temple is located atop the Bilwa Parvat on the Sivalik Hills, the southernmost mountain chain of the Himalayas. The temple, also known as Bilwa Tirth is one of the Panch Tirth (Five Pilgrimages) within Haridwar.The temple is known for being the holy abode of Mansa Devi, a form of Shakti and is said to have emerged from the mind of the Lord Shiva. Mansa is regarded as the sister of the Naga (serpent) Vasuki. She is also believed to be the daughter of Lord Shiva in his human incarnate. The term Mansa means wish and it is believed that the goddess fulfils all the wishes of a sincere devotee. There is a folk tale about this, once Mansa, a common girl who was unaware about her complete truth from her guardians decided to meet Lord Shiva and ask him about her truth. To meet Lord Shiva, she sat for Sadhana and after years of spiritual exercise, she got the fortune to meet Lord Shiva and clarify her truth from him. After learning her truth, she attained the powers of goddess of welfare for the world. Devotees who pray to Mansa Devi for fulfilling their wishes tie threads to the branches of a tree located in the temple. Once their wishes are fulfilled, people come back again to the temple to untie the thread from the tree. Goddess Mansa is also offered coconuts, fruits, garlands and incense sticks for prayer.Mansa Devi Temple is a Siddh Peeth (These are known to fulfill the desires of the worshippers). It is one of three such Peeths located in Haridwar, the other two being Chandi Devi Temple and Maya Devi Temple. The inner shrine has two deities, one with eight arms and the other one with three heads and five arms.

Bharat mata temple
Founded by the Swami Satyamitranand Giri, Bharat Mata Temple is a unique temple sacred to Mother India and her spiritual and culture glory. Smt. Indira Gandhi, a politician who served as prime minister of India, formally inaugurated the temple on 15 May 1983. Located on the bank of Ganga, the temple welcomes people of every religion and community. Emblem of the temple, a woman dressed in a saffron-colored sari and holding the flag in one of her hands, is readily noticeable. Key features of the temple are homoeopathic and allopathic dispensaries, diagnostic camps, physiotherapy centres, gaushala ( a cow shed with ultra-modern facilities), Ved Vidyalaya (school for learning Vedas) and Old age home (Bharat Sadie). Also, there is an Atithi Sewa (Samanvaya Kutir), a delightful complex consist of Satsang Bhavan, well-stocked library, and residential accommodation. At a height of 180 feet, Bharat Mata Temple is spread over seven floors, each level dedicated to different Gods and mythological heroes.

Ram Jhula is one of the most iconic places in Rishikesh and if you are planning a pilgrimage to the city, or just for a holiday, then you have to stop near this iconic bridge. It is a suspension bridge, made entirely of iron and the bridge is about 450 feet in length.
The bridge is situated on the sacred Ganges River and connects Swargashram in the west of Pauri Garhwal in the east, Shivanand Nagar in Muni ki Reti in Tehri Garhwal district in the west.
People can also go to the bridge by bike or bicycle. Many sacred ashrams and Hindu religious centres and temples can be found on the side of the bridge. These ashrams incorporate the true essence of Rishikesh with its peace, hospitality and purity.
One of the most memorable experiences one can enjoy is the Rama Jhula, which is surrounded by river and powerful mountains, overlooking the holy city of Rishikesh by the bridge itself.
