Sightseeing

Baltra Island
Baltra Island, is a small island of the Galápagos Islands. Also known as South Seymour, Baltra is a small flat island located near the center of the Galápagos. It was created by geological uplift. The island is very arid and vegetation consists of salt bushes, prickly pear cactus and palo santo trees.

Loberia Island
The beach is 10 minutes from the airport of San Cristobal. It is a coral sand beach with sea lions.
La Loberia is a piece of coast that has been named for the large number of sea lions resting on the rocks and sand. Despite being outside the boundaries of the National Park area, due to its great importance, the park staff obliges for its care and maintenance.
The tour will find button mangrove, white mangrove, chala, palo santo, cotton, Tiquilia, morning glory and other species of the littoral zone as the cacho de chivo, whose seeds is the main source of food for several species of finches.
Remind visitors not to step on the plants that will be on the floor throughout the tour along the coast, ask visitors to stay on trail to avoid doing so.
Besides the sea lions, yellow warblers, frigates and various species of finches can be seen. On the rocks, large Galapagos marine iguanas can be found, unique in the world. One can distinguish the male sea lions from the females by size. The male is usually bigger and stronger, weighing up to 250 kg as adults; they are also distinguished by a protrusion on the head. Socially, they are organized into colonies or harems. Each colony is composed of a dominant male and about 30 females with their cubs. Sea lions are animals with a strong territorial sense. Adult males defend their boundaries from other males. They spend much of the day watching over their territory and issuing a series of sounds and movements reaffirming their territorial power. Some may be aggressive to humans. You have to keep a safe distance.

Motor Yacht Ride
Motor Yacht ride to any of the islands (North Seymour and Bachas, South Plazas, Santa Fe Island or Bartolome and Sullivan Bay)

Punta Estrada’s Dock
There are so many things to do when visiting Isla Santa Cruz that the options often become overwhelming. It makes it easier when you can limit choices to the kinds of activities you enjoy. We love outdoor adventure so this half day trip that combined a kayak to Punta Estrada and a snorkel near the trail head of Playa de los Perros was a perfect addition for our family. It also included a visit to Las Grietas. Though we loved visiting Las Grietas, we did not enjoy the rush of trying to fit three activities into a short afternoon. Sometimes it is too easy to get caught up in the rush of seeing it all.

Tortoise Reserve
A 45-minute bus ride will take us to the Santa Cruz highlands, located to the northwest of Ayora Port, where we will find a natural reserve with giant land tortoises in their natural habitat. These enormous and slow- moving reptiles are responsible for the island’s name and therefore, approaching them in their humid and forested abode is always an inspiring adventure. They can weigh between 250 and 300 kg and can live up to 200 years. They have few predators; their principal threat has always been men.

Túnel Del Amor
The lava tunnels or called the tunnels of Love are located in the rural area of ??the canton, in the Bellavista parish, 1 km away taking the road to Cascajo, the tunnels are at a distance of 8 km from the Gus Angermeyer tourist dock.
The Bellavista tunnels are approximately 1km apart, they are formed when the surface layer of the lava flow cools upon contact with cooler atmospheric air. As it cools and hardens, it acts as an insulating material preventing the solidification of the hot fluid material that continues to run under it. At the end of the eruption and once all the lava has passed, we will obtain an empty tube as a result. Due to cooling, fissures, tremors, the upper part of the tube usually fractures, collapsing, and thus its interior is exposed.
It is not an activity suitable for the claustrophobic, nor for people with little mobility. In addition to going up and down between the stones, in one part you have to crawl on the ground, therefore, it is advisable to wear clothes that can get dirty. The whole tunnel is illuminated
