Excellent Arrangements Made By FlaminGo

Individual Tour

Family Tour
July

At the outset on my behalf and on behalf of my 3 other co-travelers, i thank you very much for the excellent arrangements made by you under the auspices of Flamingo Travels for our recent travel to Leh, Nubra Valley, and Pangong Lake.

All the Hotels were very hospitable, caring, and full of comfort. The food was excellent and delicious. In particular, our experience at The Indus Valley Hotel was par excellent. The staff was so professionally trained, caring to the minutest details, ever-smiling, every co-operative. The rooms were also very cosy and comfortable. The thing is that for the first two day's stay two different grades of rooms were given which on our request they corrected by giving both deluxe rooms side by side during second time visit.

The Hunder Resort had one peculiarity that they provide just one bottle of water per room (between two pax) per day. And general medical advice is to drink a lot of water. You may ask your new guests to carry one crate of water bottles with them from day one to avoid such small inconveniences. When asked why so, the manager shifted the blame to hard negotiations by Flamingo Travels - which was a silly excuse by them.

You advised us to visit Turtuk with enough food. we visited and insist that you suggest to those who can do little tracking of about 30 minutes to visit Tyaksi which is further ~ 5 Kms. away from Turtuk. It is an experience to view Indian Bunkers at quite some height on steep mountains after a track as aforesaid. it fills one with a sense of gratitude and pride for our protector Jawans.

At Pangong Lake, we got to stay just in front of the Lake which was so satisfying and thrilling. We suggest that you advise your other clients to visit the lake in the early morning the next day - especially the sunrise. They would cherish it for times to come.

And the transport services were just marvellous. On the third morning, the vehicle did not come at the appointed time and when contacted, we were told that soon after reaching the hotel, the driver noticed brake oil leakage and so the delay. they provided us with a new vehicle which was much better and the Driver - Sevag was the icing on the cake. He was so agile, courteous, swift, joyous, knowledgeable and always at our service.

You may like to advise your clients to skip visit to Rancho School which is just a waste of time and energy.

Cannot resist the temptation to suggest that you should ask your clients to buy some homoeopathic remedies from a store called "Jashoda Homoe Store" in basement opp. Medilink, Satellite. The medicines especially for Leh dispensed by Mr Manish were so useful not only to us but to other friends who happened to be there, that it made our travel so comfortable. It proved much efficacious than allopathic ones. This is just a suggestion.

Besides, someone had advised us to carry "activated charcoal warmers" available at Romano Store on C G Road which we did. At Pangong Lake at night, we just opened the same, shook it 5-6 times and wore it on the chest. it gave warmth for about 8 to 10 hours. This is indispensable. Per piece cost is Rs. 100. It is just use and throw kind of thing. and does not take much space.

Once again thank you and Flamingo a million for the best ever arrangements made for us.
