Leaning Tower Of Pisa

Piazza’s Crowning Glory- Leaning Tower of Pisa was constructed in August 1173 and is one of the most remarkable architectural structures from medieval Europe. It is situated in the Italian town of Pisa considered as one of the most visited European cities. The construction of Tower of Pisa continued for about 200 years due to the onset of a series of wars. Till today, the name of the architect is an unknown mystery. Tower of Pisa stands tall at 60 meters and until 1990 was leaning at about a 10 degree angle. The design was to have the tower as a perfectly vertical structure but it started to lean during construction. With 207 columns ranged around eight stories, Tower of Pisa looks like a massive wedding cake knocked unsteadily crooked by a clumsy giant guest.
