Day wise travel itinerary

  • Day 1 :Ahmedabad - Diu (370 Kms – 8 Hrs)
    Proceed and start tour to explore Saurashtra towards the the beach paradise Diu from Ahmedabad. Early evening arrive at Diu. Check-in at hotel. Evening free for leisure. Dinner and Overnight Stay at Diu.
  • Day 2 :Diu Sightseeing
    Enjoy Breakfast, Visit St. Paul’s Church, a Baroque style architecture. The interior is decorated with intricately carved woodwork, which is considered to be the one of the most elaborate among all Portuguese churches in India. Proceed to the Gangeshwer Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva. Five 'Shivlings' amidst the rocks, lulled by the crystal clear sea water during high tide is the main attraction of this temple. Visit the Shell Museum, displaying a beautiful variety of shells- ranging from silver abalone to folding shells which were collected by a merchant navy, Captain Devjibhai Fulbaria, about 50 years ago.Visit to the main beaches in Diu- NaGoa, Jalandhar, Chakratirth, Gomtimata and Ghogla. Most of them have popular tourist attractions nearby. The Naida caves, near Jalandhar beach, were formed as a result of quarrying by the Portuguese. The Kukri Memorial, again near Jalandhar beach, is famous for an open amphitheatre and sunset shots. The cost of Nagao beach is renowned for recreational activities such as boating, parasailing, etc. An offshore lighthouse situated here is also very popular. Visit Diu Fort or Fort Diu, built by the Portuguese during their colonial rule. An example of grand architecture, this fort on the cost of the island commands a magnificent view of the sea and skirts the sea water on three sides. From the fort, a mesmerizing view of the Panikotha fort located in the sea off the cost opposite to Fort Diu can be seen in the evenings.

  • Day 3 :Diu - Sasan Gir ( 66 Kms ) - Enroute Visit Somnath Temple
    After Breakfast check-out and proceed towards Sasan Gir. Enroute India is believed to be the first among the twelve jyotirling shrines of Shiva. It is an important pilgrimage and tourist spot of Gujarat. Darshan at Temple and enjoy superb view of Ocean.Later in afternoon Check-in at Hotel. Evening free for leisure. Dinner and Overnight stay at Sasan Gir.

  • Day 4 :Gir Safari
    Explore the Gir National Park for Wildlife watching in the morning. Sasan Gir is one of the popular wildlife national parks that offer home to many Asiatic Lions. It also offer habitat to a variety of smaller animals and birds. Other predators recorded in the park include the Panther and the Hyena, The Indian Deer, Sambar, Chital (spotted deer), Nilgai (blue bull), Chinkara, the Chowsingha (four horned antelope), the bear and the long tailed LangurEvening again explore National Park Safari. Back to Resort. Dinner and Overnight Stay at Gir.

St. Paul Church

St. Paul church is one among the famous attractions in Diu. People from every origin visit this place to ascertain the old carvings which depict a number of the pages from The Holy Bible. This church is dedicated to “Our Lady of Immaculate Conception”. The church was constructed around 1601-1610. The architecture of this church is Portuguese and really almost like the Bom Jesus Church of Goa. The Gothic style architecture attracts tons of individuals to go to this place because it is amongst the foremost visited Diu Attractions of all. The most auspicious a part of this church are often seen in night when it's illuminated by lights which makes this site heavenly beautiful.

Gangeshwar Temple

Gangeshwar Mahadev Temple is an Ancient Hindu Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva referred to as Gangeshwar Mahadev situated 3kms faraway from Diu in Fudam village of Gujarat, India. This Temple was built by Pandavas in Mahabharata times. The main attraction of this temple are its Five Shivalingas or rocks within the sort of Lord Shiva, located within the midst of the rocks on the seashore, which are often washed by the tidal waves of the ocean . When the tide is high, one could only see the tip of those rocks of this temple, because the sea water tends to submerge them. These stones or Shivalingas are believed to possess been placed here by the Pandava brothers during their period of exile once they were doing penance for Lord Shiva.

Gomtimata Beach

Located on the western finish of the Diu within the village Vanakbara, Gomtimata Beach is one in every of the simplest beaches within the region. Secluded and with natural white sand, this beach is but not safe for swimming as its at risk of high tides. it's named when the Gomtimata Temple that is dedicated to Devi Gomti. This beach is a perfect place for picnic and sunset read.

Jalandhar Beach

Named after the demon, Jalandhar, the sunny Jalandhar Beach lies almost 1km from Diu and features a temple and a memorial. The temple is devoted to Goddess Chandrika while the memorial is atop a hill with a stone structure of the demon Jalandhar. The beach also offers exciting water sports. Being sparsely crowded, the Jalandhar Beach serves as a perfect location for a private photo shoot.
