Silted over, it was rediscovered in the 1940s and restored by Archaeologica in the 1980s.Sahastralinga Lake - Sahastralinga Talav is a gothic water tank situated in Patan, Gujarat, 1 km from Rani ki Vav and 5 km from Patan Railway Station. Maintained by India’s Archeological Survey, it is one of Gujarat’s prominent heritage sites and one of Patan’s top places to visit.

Sahasralinga Talav, meaning ‘ thousand lingam lake,’ was constructed by Siddhraj Jaisinh over a l in 1084.
