Day wise travel itinerary

  • Day 1 :Ahmedabad - Patan (125 kms approx. 3 hrs )

    Start your journey and reach Patan, on arrival check in visit Jain Derasar, Rani Ki Vav, Sahastra Ling Lake, Over night Stay.

    Shri Parshwanath Jain Temple - Panchasara Parshwanath Jain Derasar is a Jain Temple situated in the Gungdipati part of the city of Patan, 2 km from Patan Railway Station. It is one of the finest Gujarat’s ancient Jain temples and one of Patan’s top places to explore.Panchasara Parshwanath Jain Derasar is one of the majorly Patan’s largest of over 100 Jain temples. It was Rani Ki Vav - Ranki vav (the stepwell of the Queen) is a stepwell situated in the city of Patan in the state of Gujarat, India. It is on the banks of the river Saraswati. Its building is attributed to Udayamati, daughter of Khengara of Saurashtra, Queen of the Chaulukya dynasty of the 11th century and Bhima I’s spouse. Silted over, it was rediscovered in the 1940s and restored by Archaeologica in the 1980s.Sahastralinga Lake - Sahastralinga Talav is a gothic water tank situated in Patan, Gujarat, 1 km from Rani ki Vav and 5 km from Patan Railway Station. Maintained by India’s Archeological Survey, it is one of Gujarat’s prominent heritage sites and one of Patan’s top places to visit.

    Sahasralinga Talav, meaning ‘ thousand lingam lake,’ was constructed by Siddhraj Jaisinh over a l in 1084.

  • Day 2 :Patan to Polo Forest (140 kms approx. 3 hrs )

    This day transfer to Polo Forest, check in and evening is free for leisure. Overnight stay.

    Polo Forest - Polo Forest is one of the best tourist spot near Ahmedabad, himmatnagar specially in Monsoon and Winter seasons (August to Feb). It is located north side of Gujarat near Rajasthan border in the south most mountain range of Aravalli. Forest is located near vijaynagar. Its around 168km from Ahmedabad towards Idar town.

    The river harnav passing through the forest and it is considered that the habitat lived many years in ancient time. You can see ruined temple of shiva and jainism.

  • Day 3 :Polo Forest

    Start your journey and transfer to Polo Forest, check in and later visit Harnav Dam, Surya Mandir, Polo Jain Nagri, Bhim Hill. Over Night Stay at Polo Forest.

    Harnav Dam - Harnav Dam, aka Vanaj Dam, is a gated dam built on upstream of Harnav river. Few meters from the Dam site, forest depart has built Vanaj Forest Rest house. Harnav Dam and Vanaj Forest Rest House serve as an excellent a-la-carte package to your trip to Polo Forest, Vijaynagar.

    Sun Temple - The sun temple,bulit in 14th century is a sacred and humble witness of the rise and fall of different dynesties. Still standing like symbol of grandure of the past history. the statue of Lord Shiva, reflecting differ moods while watching from various degree is heart and soul of the temple; the temple situated on a low height hillock is an excellent example of Nagar shaily ( Nagar style).

Rani Ki Vav (Patan)

The only real sign of Patan’s former glory is that this astoundingly beautiful step-well. Located on the banks of the Saraswati River, this is often one among the oldest and finest stepwells in Gujarat and is remarkably preserved. Steps lead down through multiple levels with lines of carved pillars and quite 800 sculptures, totally on Vishnu-avatar themes, also as striking geometric patterns. The stepwell is formed within the sort of an inverted temple. It showcases superior craftsmanship of the age , and therefore the unique Maru-Gurjara style of architecture and houses sculptures almost like the Vimalavasahi temple in Mount Abu and Sun temple at Modhera.

Sahastra Ling Lake

Sahasralinga Tank or Sahasralinga Talav is a medieval artificial water tank in Patan, Gujarat, India. It was commissioned during Chaulukya rule, but now it is empty and in a ruined state. It is a Monument of National Importance protected by Archaeological Survey of India.
