Day wise travel itinerary

  • Day 1 :Srinagar – Pahalgam - (90 kms approx 3 hrs )
    Reach at Srinagar and transfer to Pahalgam, check in and evening is leisure. Overnight stay.Pahalgam - Situated in the Anantnag district of Jammu & Kashmir Valley, Pahalgam is a beautiful hill station and a popular tourist attraction. With gorgeous and untouched natural beauty, Pahalgam is a feast to the eyes and senses. Submerged in lush greenery and alluring Himalayan ranges, Pahalgam is located on the banks of the Liddar River and is popular for adventure activities like trekking, hiking, fishing.Pahalgam serves as the base of one of the most important pilgrimages in India - the Amarnath Yatra. Chandanwari located 16.6 km. away from Pahalgam, is the actual base camp of the Amarnath. Pahalgam offers a lot of recreational outdoor activities among which the most popular is the adventurous trekking activities.

    Morning after breakfast    visit  to  Aru valley . The Aru valley is noted for its unique beauty meadows .It is famous among the tourist for it s peaceful environment and scenic beauty .the village is a base camp for trekkers to the Kolahoi Glacier .after that one can visit to batab valley.the valley got its name from flim  Betab.the valley surrounded by lush green meadows, snow clad mountain and  dense forest. Then to Chandanwari- the base camp  for Amarnath yatra. Later drive back to pahalgam .rest of the day free for personal activities..enjoy pahalgam mall road.

    This day transfer to Srinagar, check in afternoon  shikara ride on dal lake , visiting floating gardens , lotus gardens, vegetable gardens, back water of lake cruise will go through canals, also pay visit to papaer machi and wood carving  handicrafts . over night at houseboat.

  • Day 6 :Srinagar
    Morning  after breakfast    local sightseeing tour of Srinagar visit  Shankar Acharya Temple, their after  visit  to  famous Mughal Gardens Nishat ( Garden of pleasure ) overlooking the crystal clear emerald green waters of the Dal lake then to Shalimar ( Garden of Love ) Each one is more beautiful than the one visited before. You will walk along the terraced flower beds, past splashing of marble pavilions and fountains with snow capped peaks of the Himalayas & Cheshmaashahi (Royal Spring .)   Hazratbal mosque and rest of day for personal activities and shopping .

  • Day 7 :Srinagar - Day trip to Sonamarg – Srinagar - (85 kms approx approx 2.5 hrs )
    Morning after breakfast full day excursion to Sonamarg ( Meadow of Gold ) 86kms , on the way one can enjoy the beauty of the Sind valley, Sonamarg is at a height of 2690mts above sea level,The blooming Valley has been chiselled over the ages by the mighty Indus river. Major trekking routes begin from here. Two Lakes – Gadsar and Satsar are on the periphery of Sonmarg. Sonmarg is sheer scenic splendour. The very way- metalled road snakes through massive mountains laden with firs and forests. arrive Sonamarg visit to Thajiwas Glacier where snow remains through out the year, late afternoon return to Srinagar

Shalimar Bagh Mughal Garden

Located on the banks of the ancient Dal Lake, Shalimar Bagh is the largest Mughal garden in the Kashmir Valley and thus it is one of the most famous tourist attractions of Srinagar. This adorable masterpiece, also known as 'house of love', was originally called 'Farah Baksh', which literally means 'delightful'.

Surrounded by tall poplar trees and many colourful flowers, Shalimar Bagh presents tourists with a serene atmosphere. It also boasts of a beautifully designed canal, which passes through the center of the garden, adding to its charm.

The main attraction of Shalimar Bagh is 'Chini Khanas'. In these 'Chini Khanas', oil lamps were lit at night, which produced glare. At the present time, however, these 'Khanas' are adorned with flower pots, which are also delightful.

Chashma Shahi Garden

Primarily famous for its natural spring, Chashme Shahi Garden is part of the Mughal Garden, and is a must-see in Srinagar. The natural spring in this top attraction in Srinagar attracts the eyes of tourists. It believed to have been discovered by the great female saint Rupa Bhavani of Kashmir, spring got her name from her clan and was originally called 'Chashme Sahib'. Commissioned by Mughal Emperor, Shah Jahan for his elder son, Dara Shikoh, Chashme Shahi was built by his governor Ali Mardan in 1632.

Chashme Shahi is a three-terraced garden through which flows the water of the natural spring. On the top terrace of the garden, a double storey hut is built which is believed to be the origin source of the water. The gardens have the Persian/Iranian influence in its architecture and well-manicured offering a visual treat to the visitors.

Tourists visited this attraction in Srinagar to drink the water of this spring, which is believed to have medicinal properties. It is to be noted that, even in the extreme summer season, water is always colder than spring.

The time from April to October is the best time to visit Chashme Shahi. During this time of the year, the weather is suitable for tourism. The garden is at full bloom during May and June.

Hazratbal Shrine Mosque

Known as the holiest sanctum in Kashmir, Hazratbal is the place where a Prophet Mohammad is kept. Hair is also known as 'relic' or Moi-e-Muqaddas. The word Hazrat means sacred/revered and stands for Bal place, thus when the word is put together it means 'holy place' or 'revered place'. In general, tourists find the Hazratbal Shrine as an important place to visit in Srinagar, while Muslim devotees from all over the country visit this sacred shrine once in their lifetime.

The Holy Child of the Prophet is publicly displayed on some occasions such as Prophet Mohammad and his four main companions Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique, Hazrat Umar ibn Khattab, Hazrat Usman ibn Affan and Hazrat Ali. Such occasions include many devotees and tourists from across the country.
