Day wise travel itinerary

  • Day 1 :2023 Arrival NJP / IXB – Gangtok Gangtok (5412 Ft / 1650Mts, 130 Kms / 04 to 05 Hrs Drive)
    On arrival at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / Bagdogra Airport (IXB) (413 Ft / 126 Mts), you will be met by our local representative, who will assist you to board the vehicle to Gangtok. On reaching Gangtok, check in and overnight at hotel.

  • Day 2 :Gangtok – Excursion to Tshangu Lake & New Baba Mandir
    Today after breakfast, start for full day excursion to Tshangu Lake & New Baba Mandir. Return back to Gangtok. Overnight at hotel.

    Documents for Tshangu Lake & New Baba Mandir – 02 Passport Size Photo along with Photo Copy of Photo ID Proof (Passport or Driving License or Voter ID (Pan Card &Adhaar Card is not accepted). For Children below 18 years, Date of Birth certificate written in English is mandatory along with School Id / College Id as supporting document. Original to be brought with self while travelling.
    Incase visit to Tshangu Lake is not possible, due to landslide or any other unforeseen reasons, alternative sightseeing will be provide.
    Process for Foreigner, OCI & PIO Card holder are completely different, kindly inform us well in advance to plan out the itinerary accordingly.

    Optional: 
    Nathula Pass (14137 Ft / 4310 Mts) Indo China Border(remains closed on Monday for tourist), visit is limited to Indian nationals only, allowed on the basis of advance permit & on extra cost. For rate, kindly refer to Supplement & Optional Cost Column, given below the main package cost.

  • Day 3 :Gangtok – Lachung

    After breakfast, checkout and then drive to Lachung. On the way visit Tashi view point, Seven sister’s water fall (Subjected to operation of the normal route). On arrival at Lachung, check into the hotel. It is advisable to go for an evening walk (on your own) around the village for body acclimatization. Overnight at hotel.

    Break for lunch en-route on direct payment basis.

  • Day 4 :Lachung - Excursion to Yumthang (11800 Ft / 3598 Mts / 25 Kms / 1 ½ hour’s drive one way)

    After early breakfast proceed for on a half day excursion to Yumthang Valley. Later back to hotel. It advisable to go for an evening walk around the village for body acclimatization. Overnight at hotel.


    Optional: 

    Yumesamdong, popularly known as Zero Point (15300 Ft / 4665 Mts, 24 Kms / 1.5 to 02 Hrs ahead drive from Yumthang one way). For rate, kindly refer to Supplement & Optional Cost Column, given below the main package cost.

  • Day 5 :Lachung – Gangtok

    After breakfast, checkout & then transfer to Gangtok. On reaching Gangtok, check in and Overnight at hotel.

    After breakfast check out and go for a half day sightseeing of Gangtok covering Do-rul Chhorten, Research Institute of Tibetology (Closed on Saturday & Sunday, Local Festival and State & National Govt. holidays), Directorate of Handicraft & Handloom (Closed on Saturday & Sunday, Local Festival and State & National Govt. holidays) Flower Show (Closed on Saturday & Sunday, Local Festival and State & National Govt. holidays) and Banjhakari Falls. at hotel.

    Note: 
    Alternative sightseeing of Bakthang Waterfalls & Ropeway (If operational, ticket on direct payment basis) will be provided incase of Research Institute of Tibetology & Directorate of Handicraft & Handloom is closed.

    Detour for Buddha Park at Ravangla(8000 Ft / 2439 Mts).

  • Day 7 : Pelling
    After breakfast, proceed for Pelling local sightseeing covering Pemayangtse Monastery, Chenrezig Statue & Skywalk. Post lunch; proceed for sightseeing of Rimbi Water fall, Khecheopalri Lake & Kanchanjunga Water fall. Overnight at hotel.

  • Day 8 :Pelling – Darjeeling

    After breakfast, checkout & then transfer to Darjeeling. On reaching Darjeeling, check in and Overnight at hotel.

    Detour for Sing shore Bridge (5904 Ft / 1800 Mts, 26 Kms / 1.5 to 2 Hrs drive one way from Pelling). For rate, kindly refer to Supplement & Optional Cost Column, given below the main package cost.

  • Day 9 :Darjeeling
    Early morning at around 0400am (subject to clear weather) for visit to Tiger Hills (8482 Ft / 2586 Mts) to view the sunrise over mighty Kanchendzonga Peak (Third highest peak in the world). Back to hotel for breakfast. 
    After breakfast go for a half-day local sightseeing of Darjeeling covering Japanese Temple & Peace Pagoda, Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park & Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (Closed on Thursday, Local Festival and State & National Govt. holidays), Tenzing & Gombu Rock and Panoramic tour of Tea Estate.
    Back to Hotel. Overnight at hotel.

    Tiger Hill visit is subjected to availability of coupons, as only 600 vehicles are allowed in the morning. In case of non availability of coupons we will provide the Tiger Hill visit after breakfast.

    After breakfast transfer to New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / Bagdogra Airport (IXB), for onwards connection.

    Detour, drive via *Pashupati Nagar visit (Indo-Nepal border) for shopping & Mirik Lake (4905 Ft / 1495Mts, Horse riding & Boat is available in & around the lake on direct payment basis). For rate, kindly refer to Supplement & Optional Cost Column, given below the main package cost.

    Note: 

     For Pashupati Nagar visit (Indo-Nepal border) for shopping, our vehicle will stop at the Indian side of the boarder & the guest will have to walk to the Nepalese side of the border, where they can easily hire a local taxi which will cost INR 400 to 500 one way to drop the guest at Market. The guest can also easily walk to reach the market which is just 2 Kms from the boarder gate.

Kanchenjunga Falls

Kanchenjunga Waterfalls is a stunning waterfall situated in the beautiful hill town of Pelling Sikkim. It is one of the largest waterfalls in Sikkim and amongst the prime Pelling tourist places. It is believed that this pristine waterfall originates high up in the glaciers of Mount Kanchenjunga, the 3rd highest peak in the world.

The green and white beauty of the setting soothes the eyes while the steady twinkling of the water is music to the ears.

Known for its splendid beauty and glory, the waterfalls serves as a perfect picnic spot with family and friends. Situated at a sharp curve on the road side, tourists need to climb around 50 steps from the road to reach the falls. For adventure-junkies, there is an option of rope sliding. One can also spot lot of small food stalls selling chat, tea and Maggie on the stairs.

It gives a perfect place to relax in solitary and listen to the sounds of nature as you explore this second oldest monastery of Sikkim.&nbsp;</p><p>Being around 300 years old, it is a must visit place as it offers the reflection of the rich architecture and the unwavering faith of the Buddhist followers. This three storied building has many statues of saints and Rinpoches, including Padmasambhava (Lotus Born).&nbsp;</p><p>It also has several antique idols and scriptures. The main prayer hall is decorated with paintings and also the doors and windows are beautifully painted in traditional Tibetan design. Chenrezig Statue & Skywalk

Rimbi Water fall & Hydro Project

Suggesting Time : 09:00 AM to to 17 :00 PM

Rimbi Waterfalls is a scenic waterfall near Pelling. Situated near Darap Village, it is one of the famous waterfalls in Pelling .

The waterfall turns into Rimbi River, which is frequented by locals and tourists for various recreational activities like swimming and fishing.On the way to Khecheopalri Lake and Yuksam, Rimbi waterfall is formed over Rimbi River.

Located close to the waterfall is one of the oldest hydro power stations in Sikkim. Established in the early 70's, this power station is the source of energy for most of the villa towns of West Sikkim including Gayzing, Tigjuck and Pelling.

All the tourists stop over here for some time while going to Kanchenjunga Waterfalls.

Both summer and winter are perfect for enjoying Rimbi. It is during monsoon, that the water flow is heavy and is suggested that not to venture into the fall.

Khecheopalri Lake

Khecheopalri Lake is situated at an altitude of 5,600ft and is estimated to be 3,500 years old and  Located 34 kilometres to Pelling town, the lake is sacred for both Buddhists and Hindus, and is believed to be a wish fulfilling lake. 

Even though the lake is surrounded by thick vegetation, there are no leaves on the surface of the water body. This is because the avifauna   swoops down and keeps the lake clear of leaves.

Prayer wheels along the wooden jetty lead you to the bank of Khecheopalri Lake. Numerous Tibetan prayer flags flutter in the wind and you feel as if you’ve walked into a magical kingdom

There are various trekker’s outlets and lodging facilities as well if you prefer camping overnight. Enjoy the peaceful sounds of nature and simply relax.  It is indeed a paradise for nature lovers and trekkers. 

Best Time to visit : October to May 

Note : The given sightseeing can be done if have hired vehicle for the full day or planning to take one. However it is at discretion of vehicle company to do it. Also one has to make sure that the same falls in given kilometer limits by the company.
