Calgary City tour

Calgary, a cosmopolitan Alberta city with numerous skyscrapers, owes its rapid growth to its status as the centre of Canada’s oil industry. However, it’s still steeped in the western culture that earned it the nickname “Cowtown,” evident in the Calgary Stampede, its massive July rodeo and festival that grew out of the farming exhibitions once presented here.

The Calgary area was inhabited by pre-Clovis people whose presence traces back at least 11,000 years. The area has been inhabited by multiple First Nations, the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot Confederacy; Siksika, Kainai, Piikani), îyârhe Nakoda Tsuutʼina peoples and Métis Nation, Region 3.

In 1787, David Thompson, a 17-year-old cartographer with the Hudson's Bay Company (HBC), spent the winter with a band of Piikani Nation encamped along the Bow River. He was also a fur trader and surveyor and the first recorded European to visit the area. John Glenn was the first documented European settler in the Calgary area, in 1873. In spring 1875, three priests – Lacombe, Remus, and Scollen – built a small log cabin on the banks of the Elbow River.

TCS Applicable on booking of Overseas Tour Package as per provisions of Section 394 of the Income Tax Bill 2025

5% TCS on spends towards International Holiday Packages for cumulative spends (within or outside Flamingo Transworld Pvt Ltd) up to Rs 10 Lakhs in a financial year and

20% TCS for incremental spends beyond Rs. 10 Lakhs in the same Financial year

(Declaration to be submitted by the buyer of overseas tour program package to Flamingo Transworld Pvt Ltd)

The amount of TCS paid is non-refundable in case of cancellation of tour.

On validating PAN - AADHAR Seeding if found not Linked, TCS will be applicable on 20% & TCS Credit might not appear in Form 26 / AIS / TIS and TCS Certificates will not be available. Also Booking will get cancelled and Cancellation charges along with 20% TCS will apply.

Rate of exchange will be considered only on the day of final payment from www.xe.com + 0.50 Paisa will be charged on the live price as interbank remittance charge

BROCHURE ACCURACY:

All information given in the Brochure / Itinerary / Sightseeing Tours are based on the information available at the time of publication. We reserve the right to change any brochure / itinerary before or after booking your tour due to any event beyond our control. In case if we will know about any changes before your departure we will update or communicate with you otherwise our Tour Manager or Local Representative will inform you of the changes on the tour.

TIPPING

Tipping is compulsory in Canada.
You will have to pay CAD 5.00 per person per day for the Duration of your tour. Kindly pay the same on arrival to the Tour Manager (Applicable on both adult and child)

BAGGAGE

On the tour luggage allowance in the coach will be one handbag and one suitcase per person.
Porterage in Any of Tours is not included. It will be passenger’s responsibility to carry their bags to and from the Coach and their room.

FOOD AND WATER

Breakfast: Your breakfast is normally a continental or American breakfast which usually will have Tea or Coffee, Juices, Cereals, Milk, Breads, Butter, Jam, cheese. Some hotels may provide hash brown potatoes or hot potatoes or hot beans. No Indian item or Jain item will be available.
Indian Breakfast: In case of Indian Breakfast, you will be taken to the Indian restaurant and not in the hotel you are staying.
Lunch & Dinner: may be a combination of Indian / Continental or local vegetarian or packed. Local lunch can be pizza, pasta or Mexican or subway. But all vegetarian.
Jain passengers: Please note, the Jain food which may be provided will be without onion, garlic & potatoes. Any further restriction from the above for vegetables etc cannot be accommodated. Also there will be restricted choice of vegetables, curries items for jain passengers.
Drinking water: Tap Water throughout the USA is Safe to Consume and therefore request you to carry an empty bottle with you which you can fill whenever you wish to.
A meal doesn’t include any Water Bottles, Beverages Hard/Soft drinks, Fruit Juices.

*In the cruise, the meals will be served as per the cruise policy.

COACH AND COACH CAPTAIN:

It is strictly not allowed to eat, drink or smoke inside the Coach.
Coach Captains are bound by American laws and restrictions about driving hours per day and per week. All itineraries are planned as per them. Therefore it is absolutely essential for passengers to follow the time very strictly and punctually.
In some Coaches an emergency washroom is available. Keeping in mind hygiene standards it can be used only in case of severe emergency. We try to make sufficient stops to ensure the comfort of our passengers.
For our tours we do have all sizes of coaches such as 30 seater, 49 seater and 55 seater. We choose coach as per number of participants in the tour and we tend to use full capacity of our coach with no seat or hardly a seat or two empty in the coach.
Our coaches will not have any WIFI facilities on board the coach.

DIRECT JOINING POLICY:

International airfare not included.
Passengers need to reach to the hotel of first destination on their own.
Passenger’s tour will end at the hotel in the last city.
The JD cost does not include the cost of USA visa and Canada visa.

Flamingo strongly advises that you should carry a travel insurance with you, with a minimum of USD250,000 coverage. We will not release any tour documents, unless the insurance copy is submitted to us.
Please note the insurance cost is not included in the tour cost. It is going to be additional.

COVID RULES:

It is mandatory to follow the Vaccination pre-requirement of each country being visited before &during the tour.
