Discover South Africa Self Drive - 09 Night/10 Days

Day wise travel itinerary

  • Day 1 :Arrival - Johannesburg
    Arrive at Johannesburg International airport and meet with your driver who will be holding a placard of your name in the arrivals hall and proceed for overnight at Johannesburg.


  • Day 2 :Johannesburg - George
    Morning depart for Johannesburg airport and proceed for your flight to George. Arrive in George and collect yourself drive car and proceed towards hotel. The Garden Route is a long stretch of the southeastern coast of South Africa which extends from Mossel Bay in the Western Cape to the Storms River in the Eastern Cape. The call comes from the verdant and ecologically various plants encountered right here and the severa lagoons and lakes dotted alongside the coast. It consists of cities including George, Knysna, Plettenberg Bay, and Mossel Bay. Overnight at Hotel.

  • Day 3 :George (Leisure Day)
    Day free for leisure, discover many optional activities on the Garden Route. Overnight in Hotel.

    • Bridge walk at the Bloukran’s Bridge: ZAR 200 per person approx

  • Day 4 :George - Oudtshoorn - Great Brak River
    Morning depart for a day trip to Oudtshoorn. Visit Ostrich Farm. Come face to face With the biggest bird in the world. Cango Ostrich Farm offers comprehensive and complete information regarding the ostrich - and ostrich industry. Later visit the Cango Caves - one of the world's incredible characteristic marvels, designed essentially through the ages - captivating limestone developments in a wide assortment of hues.  An underground wonder world, International renowned as one of the world’s great natural wonders sculpted by nature through the ages; their fascinating limestone formations occur in a variety of ways. Later proceed for overnight at Great Brak River.

  • Day 5 :Great Brak River - Mossel Bay - (1 Hr Approx):
    Morning depart for Mossel bay, day free at leisure on your own at Mossel bay & enjoy all the adventure activities at Mossel bay, Mossel bay known as Adventure capital of Africa,  Overnight at Great Brak River.

  • Day 6 :Great Brak River - Franschhoek - Cape Town
    Morning depart for Cape Town, whilst the views of the Garden Route which is probably South Africa’s most celebrated area, a stretch of coast heralded as one of the country’s highlights. Its stunning scenery is a major attribute of the town.On the way visit Franschhoek one of the most famous towns for vineyards and you can explore different vineyards by your own and enjoy the beauty of the town, later arrive in Cape Town and overnight at Cape Town.

  • Day 7 :Cape Peninsula Tour
    Morning depart for full day Cape Peninsula tour. Travel at a tempo that permits you to discover the splendor of the Cape Peninsula. Visit Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve along one of South Africa’s most scenic routes, passing Hout Bay and the dramatic view from Chapman’s Peak Drive. Depart for a cruise to Seal Island, to view seals and sea birds at the famous Duiker Island. Take a Funicular ride and experience beautiful Cape Point Nature Reserve, where (by tradition) two marine ecosystems meet, is the main highlight. Visit Boulders beach to see Jackass Penguins which are only found in this colony. Overnight at Cape Town.

  • Day 8 :Table Mountain & Cape Town City
    After breakfast, depart for Table Mountain and half day City Orientation Tour. Proceed towards Table Mountain for unforgettable sweeping views (weather permitting & Non refundable). Here we are able to see Table Mountain from the equal attitude because the early settlers did once they sailed into Table Bay.Return to the city through Malay Quarter, company gardens, house of Parliament and pass by the Castle of Good Hope. Travel to the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront, and stop for some shopping at the V&A Mall. Overnight at Cape Town. 

    Please Note: Table Mountain is a weather permitting activity; it can be shifted on another day if it is closed on the day mentioned in the itinerary.

  • Day 9 :Cape town (Day at Leisure)
    After Breakfast enjoy your full day on your own. You can opt for optional activities and explore Cape Town. Overnight at Cape Town.

    After breakfast depart for airport, drop your Self drive car in the mentioned area and return in your flight back to home with amazing memories of your trip.

Cango Caves Heritage Tour

The Cango Caves is called as an underground wonder world which is located close to Oudtshoorn.It is one of the world's great natural wonders sculptured by nature through the ages - fascinating limestone formations in a wide variety of colors. The limestone beds through movement in the Earth's crust which have formed layers of strata laterally forming dykes. This procedure of `cave making' takes millions of years. Skilled guides are at hand to carry out visitors along the magic paths of the world's finest stalactite cave. According to legend the caves were revealed during 1780. Early visitors had to courageous walk the pitch darkness of the vast caverns from the poor light of self made candles.

Come and observe ostriches up close at these Ostrich Farms as they are still a must-see attraction in South Africa. This Ostrich Farm is also home to the beautiful & rare White Ostrich. In these farms you will learn and see all aspects of ostrich farming. They will show you all stages from incubation to adulthood. Along with that catch a glimpse of the miracle of chicks getting hatched in their Incubator Room. Later on go to feed and meet the ostrich up close in one of their breeding camps. Bridge Walk

The Bloukrans Bridge is an arch bridge located near Nature's Valley, Western Cape, South Africa. Constructed between February 1980 and June 1983, the bridge stands at a height of 216m above the Bloukrans River. Its central span is 272m and the bridge is 451m in length in total. Its primary use is that of a road bridge, carrying national route N2.

Bloukrans Bridge is the site of the world's highest commercial bridge bungee jumping, Bloukrans Bridge Bungy, operated by Face Adrenalin since 1997.The Bloukrans River below forms the border between the Eastern Cape and Western Cape provinces and is located in the Tsitsikamma region of the Garden Route.
