The continental shelf is at its narrowest near Dondra Head, the southernmost point in Sri Lanka. As a result both Sperm and Blue Whales can be seen relatively close to shore. November to April are good months in which to observe whales. There is a theory that the numbers may be higher in November and April because of a migration of whales passing by during those months Mirissa is a beautiful small and rocky beach which is calm, relaxing and almost private. Whales, Deep Sea Fishing, River Trips, Snorkeling and Bird watching are activities you could do while you travel in mirissa srilanka. A historic free-standing bell tower still stands at the site, now at the intersection of Main and 4th Cross Streets.</p>

Wolvendaal Church is one of the most important Dutch Colonial era buildings in Sri Lanka, and is one of the oldest Protestant churches still in use in the country.&nbsp; The 1749 Wolvendaal Church is the most important Dutch building in Sri Lanka. When the church was built, this area was a wilderness beyond the city walls. The Europeans mistook the packs of roaming jackals for wolves and the area became known as Wolf’s Dale, or Wolvendaal in Dutch. The church is in the form of a Greek cross, with walls 1.5m thick, but the real treasure is its Dutch furniture. Overdue repairs began in 2017.

This temple is one of the most revered historic Buddhist temples of the orient. Set on the summit of a small mound lapped by the waters of the river Kelani, this beautiful shrine presents one of the most panoramic views ever offered to the tourist by this small island of ours, the pearl of the Indian Ocean. Among the many Buddhist temples of Sri Lanka, the Kelani Viharaya stands out as one of the most exquisite examples of the sculptor’s art. Its history runs back to more than 2500 years. In the days of yore, it always received full royal patronage, and to this day, it’s has been highly venerated by the people of the island. Its significance as a place of Buddhist worship is clearly evident in the island’s folklore.

This was our first trip at abroad, we were having lots of questions with us how will be the company, will get Jain food and many more but with flamingo the answers was yes we got best company and excellent food all over the trip. We didn't only get Jain food but we got full Gujarati dish &quot;Shikhand Puri&quot;, &quot;Pani Puri&quot;, &quot;Puran Puri&quot;, and many Indian dishes, it was really very surprising for us. The hotels provide by them for stay were also so good. The tour manager Devarshi Mam itself was so supportive. We never realized that tour manager is with us she was like our family member. She was so friendly by nature and knowledgeable person to guide us. Thanks to FLAMINGO.It was our excellent dream trip. I would rate 5 stars out of 5.
