Hot Air Balloon Experience

Bali enthusiasts now have something new to include on their travel itinerary: a hot air balloon ride. The Chedi Club Ubud in Bali has introduced the hot air balloon ride that will take travelers 50-metres high over Ubud’s unrivaled natural landscapes of lush forests and rice fields. You can capture the view with a drone, but seeing it with your own eyes is a pretty epic experience.

The 23-metre hot air balloon will fly 50-metres above the resort’s rice fields and offers passengers views of the forests of Ubud, Hendra Hadiprana (now The Chedi Club), and Mount Agung in the distance.

It is advertised as a ‘soft adventure’ option for those who aren’t up for thrill-seeking activities like skydiving or paragliding. Daily flights are scheduled three times a day: at dawn, in the late afternoon or early evening, and just after moonrise. Each balloon ride can accommodate a maximum of two adults and two children (under 12), along with a certified pilot.

After enjoying the views, at the end of the ride, passengers will also be treated to a breakfast, afternoon tea, or dinner, depending on their flight times. Each flight lasts for about five to seven minutes and ride is operational between June and November.
