- Opening Hours: Opening hours change by season, usually between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM.
- Closed on: The castle is closed from December 23 to February 1, so always check the official website before visiting.
- Entry fee: Approx. £13 for adults, £6.50 for children (verify on arrival as prices may change). Castle tickets are sold only at the entrance on the day of your visit.
- Carry a Waterproof Jacket: Highland weather can change very fast.
- Visit Early: Popular tour buses arrive later in the day.
- Bag Policy: Rucksacks and large bags are not allowed inside the castle. Free security lockers are available adjacent to the main visitor centre. Travel light or use the lockers.
