Oslo City Tour, Including The Kon-Tiki Museum

Discover three of Oslo’s top highlights - Holmenkollen Ski Jump, Vigeland Sculpture Park and the Kon-Tiki Museum, on this half day city tour! With a guide at your side, learn about the city's history and culture as you travel along the main landmarks, check out the stunning Holmenkollen Ski Jump (outside view) and enjoy a walking through the impressive Vigeland Sculpture Park, with more than 200 artworks, all designed by the most prolific Norwegian sculptor, Gustav Vigeland. Continue with a visit to the renowned Kon-Tiki Museum, located on the picturesque Bydøy Peninsula, to learn about some of the world's most famous sea expeditions led by the Norwegian explorer Thor Heyerdahl, and see the original Kon-Tiki balsa wood raft and the papyrus boat Ra II. After visiting this museum, return from Bygdøy  Peninsula to the city centre either by boat in the summer season (15.03 – 13.10) or by bus in the winter season (01.01– 14.03 & 14.10 – 31.12).

Meet your guide at 10:15 at the departure point located on Haakon VII's street, then hop aboard your luxury coach for your city tour. Sit back and relax as you travel through the center of the charming Norwegian capital, and listen to your enthusiastic guide explaining Oslo’s history, culture and sights. 

Continue to the amazing Holmenkollen Ski Jump and enjoy ca.30 minutes of free time to soak up the beautiful views over Oslo (if weather permitting), take photos and explore the area. Perched on top of a hill, the iconic ski jump is known for being one of the city’s finest vantage points and it was a venue for the 1952 Winter Olympics.  

The next stop is Vigeland Park, where your guide will take you on a guided walking tour around the world-renowned collection of sculptures, all designed by the beloved Norwegian artist Gustav Vigeland. Home to more than 200 bronze and granite sculptures, Vigeland Park is one of Norway’s top attractions, drawing visitors from around the world. Look out for the 56-foot (17-meter) Monolith sculpture, as well as Sinataggen, a model of an angry London boy. 

Afterwards, head to Bygdøy Peninsula and visit the Kon-Tiki Museum to learn about one of the history's most famous explorers - the Norwegian Thor Heyerdahl, and see the original  Kon-Tiki balsa wood raft and the papyrus boat  Ra II that he used on his incredible expeditions.  

From here, return to the city centre either by boat in the summer season (15.03 – 13.10) or by bus in the winter season (01.01– 14.03 & 14.10 – 31.12).
