Day wise travel itinerary

  • Day 1 :Arrival At Paro Airport - Thimphu
    On arrival at Paro Airport and after completing your Visa / Permit formalities you will be received by our Bhutan representative who will assist you in boarding your vehicle for transfer to Thimphu (2320Mts / 7656Fts, 65 Kms / 01½ to 02 Hrs), Thimphu is the capital town of Bhutan. Evening free at Leisure. Overnight at Hotel.

  • Day 2 :Thimphu
    After breakfasts go for Thimphu sightseeing covering Memorial Chorten,  Tashichho Dzong, Buddha Point (Kuensel Phodong),Changangkha Lhakhang (Monastery), Motithang Takin Preservation Centre, Drupthob Goemba / Zilukha Nunnery, National Library (Closed on Saturday , Sunday & National Holiday), Institute for Zorig Chusum (Traditional Art & Craft School) (Closed on Saturday , Sunday, National Holiday & During Summer & Winter Vacations), Textiles Museum (Handicrafts Shops) (Closed on Saturday, Sunday & National Holiday), Zangthopelri Lhakhang (Monastery). Overnight at Hotel.

  • Day 3 :Thimphu - Punakha / Wangdi
    After breakfast drive to Punakha (1200Mts / 3936Fts, 77 Kms / 03 to 3½ Hrs) / Wangdi (Wangdiphodrang) (1350Mts / 4430Fts, 70 Kms / 03 to 3½ Hrs). Punakha / Wangdi is the last town on the highway before entering Central Bhutan. The drive is over Dochu La pass (3080Mts / 10102Fts) which is very scenic with fascinating view of mountains of Bhutan. Visit Punakha Dzong, If time permit visit the Suspension Bridge and then proceed to Chimi Lhakhang (Monastery), Overnight at the Hotel in Wangdi.

  • Day 4 :Punakha / Wangdi - Punakha/Wangdue
    After breakfast today you the Punakha Valley or can even take the Rafting Options on Punakha River.  Back to the hotel. Overnight at Hotel.

    Punakha / Wangdi - Gangtey Excursion – Punakha / Wangdi 
    Today the day start early for full day excursion to Gangtey & Phobjikha Valley (3000Mts / 9845fts , 85Kms / 3 to 3½ Hrs One way ) The valley of Gangtey is one of the most beautiful spots in Bhutan. At Gangtey visit Black Necked Crane Information Centre, Gangtey Goempa (Monastery),Back to the hotel. Overnight at Hotel.

  • Day 5 :Punakha / Wangdi - Paro
    After breakfast transfer to Paro (2134Mts / 7000Fts, 135 Kms / 05 Hrs). Enroute Stop at Lamperi to visit Royal Botanical Garden. On arrival Paro, check in to the hotel. Afternoon free at leisure. Overnight at Hotel.

  • Day 6 :Paro

    After breakfast go for Paro Sightseeing Drukgyel Dzong (Presently closed for tourist),Ta Dzong (National Museum-Closed on Saturday, Sunday & National Holiday), Rinpung Dzong, Kyichu Lhakhang (Monastery),Back to the hotel. Overnight at Hotel.

    Paro - Full Day Hike To Taktsang Lhakhang (Tiger`S Nest)

    Start the day early for a day hike to Taktsang Lhakhang (Tiger's Nest Monastery) - The hike which is all the way uphill takes about 2 /3 hours one way through pine forests. Afternoon at leisure for go for shopping in the market. Overnight at Hotel.

  • Day 7 :Paro - Haa Valley Excursion - Paro
    Start the day early for a full day excursion to Haa via Chele-la pass (3800Mts / 12465Fts, 65 Kms / 02 to 03Hrs – One way) with packed or early breakfast. Visit Haa Dzong, Lhakhang Karpo, Lhakhang Nagpo, Wangchulo Dzong. Depending on the weather, Road conditions and time Haa excursion could be either taken from Chele-la Pass or from Chozum side one can also opt for going from Chele-la Pass and returning from Chuzom side or vice versa. Evening you drive back to Paro. Overnight at the hotel.

Memorial Chorten

The Thimphu Chorten, also known as the Thimphu Memorial Stupa, is a stupa (Dzongkha chöten, cheten) in Thimphu, Bhutan,  Located in the heart of Thimphu, Bhutan's capital city, on Doeboom Lam near the major roundabout and Indian military hospital in the city's southern-central area. Chorten literally translates to "Seat of Faith," and Buddhists refer to such structures as the "Mind of Buddha." With its beautiful murals and detailed sculptures, the Chorten is an outstanding example of Buddhist architecture and art. The National Memorial Chorten is dedicated to World Peace and was built in honour of Bhutan's third Druk Gyalpo (Head of Kingdom). The Stupa was first constructed in 1974 and underwent a major refurbishment in 2008. The Chorten is also known as Bhutan's "most visible religious building."

Tashichho Dzong

Tashichho Dzong is one of the most important attractions to see in Bhutan's capital city. Tashichho Dzong is a fortification in Bhutan that is around 2 kilometres from Thimphu. Tashichho Dzong has a long and famous history, as well as beautiful architecture and a tranquil ambiance. It was built in 1641 and has undergone numerous renovations since then. It now serves as both a monastery and the current government's central secretariat.

Kuenselphodrang ( Buddha Point )

The kuensel Phodrang welcomes you to Thimphu's charming town to a 51-meter-high gold-plated steel statue of Buddha Dordenma. The Buddha Point, which was the palace of the thirteenth Druk, Sherab Wangchuck, and housing the Shakyamuni Buddha, is also known as the Buddha Point. The statue was erected to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the fourth King Jigme Singye Wangchuck, as well as to fulfil two ancient prophesies from the 8th and 12th centuries, according to which a massive Buddha statue will be erected in the region to bring peace and happiness to the globe.

Changangkha Lhakhang

Because the protecting goddess of children resides in Changangkha Lhakhang, it is the most important shrine for children born in Thimphu. The monastery was erected in the 13th century by Lam Phajo Dugom Zhigpo on a tiny hill overlooking the Thimphu valley. Children born in Thimphu are taken to this temple, which is considered the spiritual home of Chang valley children.

Bhutanese people have preserved their art for decades, and now this institute educates younger generations about it.

Motithang Takin Preserve Centre

The Motithang Takin Preserve is a wildlife reserve protecting takin (Budorcas taxicolor), Bhutan's national animal. It is located in the Motithang district of Thimphu, Bhutan.Early dawn is the greatest time to see the takin up close, as they congregate along the fence to feed.. The most striking traits of this species are its enormous noses, large heads, and hefty torsos, which set it apart from others. The animal's origins are based on a mythological story with religious overtones.Drukpa Kunley, a prominent Buddhist yogi, is said to have created the animal with the body of a cow and the head of a cow, according to legend. This animal's migratory nature is one of its most notable characteristics.
