Geography Of Rajasthan

Rajasthan is the biggest state of India situated in the northwest region of the country. The state shares its north-western and western boundary with Indo-Pakistan international boarder which touches its major districts. The region includes some portion of Thar Desert which is also known as the Great Indian Desert. The South-western region of Rajasthan is hilly, humid and fertile. Major rivers in Rajasthan include Chambal River, Sabarmati River, Saraswati River, Parbati River, Banas River and more. Thar Desert stretches out from Sutlej River, limited by Aravalli Ranges on the Eastern part, on the Southern part by the Great Rann of Kutch and on the Western side by the Indus River. The major cultivation in Rajasthan consists of wheat, paddy, maize and sugarcane. Rajasthan is also known for its national parks and wildlife sanctuaries.
