Jaipur, (City of Victory) was established in 1727 by Maharaja Jai Singh II, a Kachhwaha Rajput, who administered from 1699-1744. Raja Sawai Jai Singh had his capital in Amber, when he felt the need of moving his money to somewhere else for the security of the ever-expanding population and developing shortage of water. Consequently, in the eighteenth century, he at last constructed Jaipur. It was additionally when the magnificence of Mughal Empire was on its decline.
