History & Culture

Siam, as Thailand was officially called until 1939, was ruled by monarchy until a revolution stirred in 1932. Since that time, Thailand has been a constitutional monarchy. Political authority, however, has often been held by the military through coups.

The country is a vivid centre of Buddhist belief – often colorful and omnipresent. Important to national identity, Theravada Buddhism is the national. Golden temples and Buddha statues are dotted across both rural and urban landscapes. Much like India, sacred cloth is wrapped around banyan trees, small temples and shrines hold a special place in small homes as well as big malls. Meditation retreats and holy festivals make Thailand culturally vibrant and inviting.

When it comes to food, Thai cuisine is adored around the world. The national menu comprises warm and refreshing Thai dishes that use fresh and local produce like extremely spicy chilies and varied food options. Go on an eating tour – target noodle shacks, local food pavilions and Burmese market stalls. Rice is a staple part of the cuisine in Thailand, particularly jasmine rice which is eaten with almost every meal.

The fertile soil of the plains is conducive to grown paddy. The table land of the northeast becomes lush green during monsoon. Trip Was Really Awesome & Wonderful With Flamingo!

Hello. I'm very delighted to share my experience with you all regarding honeymoon trip which was arranged by Flamingo Transworld.
Right from the beginning of the tour from planning to landing back to home, the journey to Thailand was really awesome and wonderful with flamingo
Every staff member especially Rishikesh bhai, Hiralben and Amit bhai  incorporated themselves as if it was their own trip. I was little worried about my trip initially as it was my first international trip, but Constant assistance which was provided by Amit bhai 24×7 throughout the trip made my journey very lucid.
I literally didn't face any single damn trouble during the trip and all credits goes to flamingo. I look forward to arrange so many trips with these guys and would heavily recommend flamingo to every passenger who seek their domestic and international trips.

A well organized and planned Thailand trip

I am very delighted to share my experience with flamingo transworld. It was a great pleasure and satisfying experience for us to travel to Thailand in association with Flamingo.

Initially I was little worried about my trip as it was my first international trip, but assistance and all the necessary information provided by Flamingo made my journey very lucid. We have booked a 7N/8D tour which includes 3N in Phuket, 2N in Krabi and 2N in Bangkok.

I literally didn't face any trouble during my trip. We have not faced any problem of pick up and drop and in between sightseeing during our entire trip. From booking to end of the tour, they were very helpful and supportive. All the transfers, airport pick up and drop were always on time.  Excellent communication of staff especially Amitbhai and Helly made our tour much easy. They have provided a complete detailed itinerary with details of contact person, information about the city where we are travelling, list of nearby Indian restaurant and list of other details such as shopping place, additional sightseen places etc. were really helpful and appreciable.

Overall it was a very well organized and satisfying trip.
