Macau is located in the western side of Pearl River delta which is about sixty four kilometers to the east from Hongkong. Macau is the one of the richest city in the world. Gambling tourism is Macau’s biggest source of revenue, making up about 50% of the economy. Macau has 33 casinos on the whole island. The 27 casinos are located on the Macau Peninsula and ten on Taipa Island. They all operate under a government franchise and under a common set of rules. Numerous hotel casinos, including Galaxy Cotai Mega Resort opened in 2011 and plans for a 3.9 billion complex that will be known as lisboa Palace is expected to complete in 2017.
