INTERNET DATA USERS IN INDIA:

• The latest official data from TRAI says India has 74.32 cr internet users as at 31st March, 2020 as against 71.87 cr as at 31st December, 2019.
• Reliance Jio leads the market share race with 52.3% of the users, followed by Bharti Airtel having 23.6% market share and Voda Idea having 18.7% of the market share.
• TRAI also shares some interesting top 5 states internet users, just for our knowledge, Maharashtra having 6.3 cr users, Andhra Pradesh does have 5.87 cr users, Uttar Pradesh having 5.46 cr users, Tamilnadu enjoying 5.16 cr users and Madhya Pradesh having 4.87 cr users. GUJARAT is missing in TOP 5 states internet users list. 

ZOJILA TUNNEL PROJECT:

• UNION MINISTER NITIN GADKARI launched the Mega Project recently assuming of large significance to provide all year connectivity between the valley of Srinagar and Leh.
• It’s a 14.5 KM long tunnel project located at an altitude of 11578 feet on Srinagar- Kargil -Leh National Highway.
• The travel distance is likely to get reduced by around 3 hours and 15 minutes once it gets completed and open for usage.
• The total integrated cost of the project including Zojila tunnel and approaches up to Z- Morh tunnel works out to Rs 10,643 crore. 

VACCINE DRIVE- A COLD CHAIN EVOLUTION:

• India’s vaccine drive for corona will need 1,00,000 fridges and 11,500 refrigerators in less than a year’s time and a big size cold chain evolution is in the offing.
• Those who are interested can bet on this sector and plan out their course of action to strive their performance to a next better level during this tough economic times.

RECORD LOW MORTGAGE RATES IN U S:

• Record lowest Mortgage rates found to have been prevailing in U S in last 50 years.
• 30 Years fixed loan rates have dropped to lowest 2.81% during last week as compared to 2.87% as was prevailing in earlier weeks.

 ANT IPO FROM JACK MA GROUP:

• ANT is the financial queen of the colony as the Economist put it this week. This explains why some of the officials in White House apparently want to disrupt ANT’s impending listing in Shanghai and Hong Kong.
• The world’s largest IPO will create a behemoth worth $ 280 billion, making it more valuable than any U S banks except JPMORGAN CHASE.
• Jack Ma’s fintech giant already touches one billion customers worldwide though partnership with companies like Paytm of India, giving ANT an insight into personal data of a sizable chunk of world’s population.

US PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION – NOVEMBER 3, 2020:

• The date makes a sense as U S election will have a mark on the global front. The election outcome will keep all the markets on a volatile mode but for sure, who so ever makes it to White House, the immediate attention will be stability of economy and carving steps for growth of the economy.
