The Xin Jian Zhen departs once a week i.e. on Saturdays, docking in Osaka or nearest Kobe on alternate trips (the travel time usually remains the same). The Su Zhou Hao departs from Shanghai on Tuesdays and docks exclusively in Osaka. Traveling by ferry is a useful way to get around Japan, as it covers a considerable amount of routes within its many islands and prefectures, which are all operated by a wide range of admirable ferry operators.
